Mobile Toilet Squat Toilet Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation of stainless steel waterless packaged squat toilets in mobile toilets mainly falls into two types: floor-standing bracket type and in-ground type. The specific installation steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Core Steps for In-Ground Installation

  1. Waterproofing: Before installing the in-ground type, strict waterproofing treatment of the ground is required to prevent structural damage caused by water seepage after long-term use. The waterproof layer should cover the installation area of the squat toilet and a 30cm surrounding area, ensuring no omissions.
  2. Ground Leveling: Use a level to check the flatness of the ground, with an error tolerance of within ±2mm. If the ground is uneven, it should be re-leveled with cement mortar; otherwise, the installed squat toilet may tilt, affecting the user experience.
  3. Fixing the Steel Frame and Rubber Pads: Install a fixed steel frame on the leveled ground, ensuring it is firmly connected to the ground (e.g., with expansion bolts). Rubber pads should be added between the steel frame and the squat toilet to provide cushioning and anti-slip effects, while reducing noise caused by direct metal contact.
  4. Placement and Leveling: Place the squat toilet on the steel frame and ensure its overall levelness by adjusting the steel frame legs or adding thin shims. The levelness can be verified with a level or a water test (if the water surface is level after filling, it is qualified).
  5. Shell Protection: The stainless steel shell must not come into direct contact with cement, as the alkaline substances in the cement may corrode the metal surface. During installation, a waterproof membrane or plastic cloth should be laid between the shell and the cement contact surface, or a 5-10mm gap should be reserved and filled with sealant.

II. Key Points for Floor-Standing Bracket Installation

The floor-standing bracket type does not need to be buried in the ground, making the installation relatively simple, but the following should be noted:

  1. Bracket Stability: The bracket should be made of a material with strong load-bearing capacity (e.g., thickened stainless steel) and fixed to the ground with expansion bolts or chemical anchors to ensure it can withstand the weight of adults and frequent use.
  2. Level Adjustment: Similar to the in-ground type, the level should be adjusted through the bracket legs or shims to prevent residue or poor drainage due to tilting.

III. General Precautions

  1. Installation of Waterproof Gaskets: If the squat toilet comes with waterproof gaskets, they should be correctly installed when connecting to the sewage pipe to ensure airtightness and prevent odor leakage.
  2. Cement Sand Fixation: When installing non-in-ground types, if cement sand is needed to fix the edges of the squat toilet, the thickness of the cement sand should be controlled (generally not exceeding 2cm), and it should avoid covering the drainage or water inlet ports.
  3. Special Cases for Replacing Squat Pits: If the original squat pit needs to be replaced, whether to knock out the floor tiles depends on the installation method. If the original squat pit was installed after laying the floor tiles (e.g., glued or bolted), it can be directly removed and replaced without knocking out the tiles; if it was installed before laying the tiles (e.g., in-ground type), the floor tiles should be knocked out and a new waterproof layer should be made.
