Mobile Toilet Size Diagram

Admin September 22, 2026

There is no unified fixed size diagram for mobile toilets, but common specifications can be divided into two categories: overall external dimensions and internal functional area dimensions.

Overall External Dimensions

The external dimensions of mobile toilets vary depending on the type and design requirements. The common specifications for a single-pit mobile toilet are: length ranging from 1.2 meters to 1.5 meters, width from 1.0 meter to 1.2 meters, and height from 2.2 meters to 2.5 meters. This specification is suitable for small events or temporary venues, offering compact space and easy transportation. The dimensions of multi-pit combined mobile toilets expand with the increase in the number of pits. For example, a two-pit unit may have a length ranging from 2.4 meters to 3.0 meters, while maintaining a width of 1.0 meter to 1.2 meters; large box-type mobile public toilets can exceed 6 meters in length and have a width of over 2.5 meters, suitable for high-traffic public places such as scenic spots or large event venues.

Internal Functional Area Dimensions

The design of internal space must balance usability and functionality. The basic dimensions of the toilet area require a net width of no less than 0.85 meters, with an ideal range of 0.9 meters to 1.0 meters, to ensure sufficient turning space for users; the net depth should be between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters to avoid cramped conditions; the door width should be no less than 0.6 meters to facilitate access for wheelchairs or individuals with mobility impairments. The dimensions of accessible toilet stalls must meet the needs of special populations, typically requiring an internal net width of over 1.5 meters and a net depth of over 1.8 meters, equipped with handrails, low-positioned sinks, and other auxiliary facilities, in compliance with accessible design standards.

Basis for Size Selection

The size design of mobile toilets must consider usage scenarios, pedestrian density, and transportation conditions. For example, temporary event venues may choose single-pit or small multi-pit specifications to reduce costs and space occupation; while long-term public venues require large box-type or modular combined specifications to enhance usage efficiency and comfort. Additionally, the provision of accessible toilet stalls should be determined based on local regulations and actual needs to ensure compliance with inclusive design principles.
