Mobile Toilet Sink Installation

Admin October 12, 2026

The installation of a sink in a mobile toilet requires combining the overall structural characteristics, referring to the design specifications of finished small toilets, and completing key steps such as measurement, fixation, connection, and sealing in stages.

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Tools and Materials: Prepare tools such as a tape measure, spirit level, electric drill, and wrench, as well as materials like silicone sealant, water inlet pipes, outlet pipes, angle valves, and fixing screws. For customized designs, confirm in advance the compatibility of the sink's dimensions with the walls and pipes of the mobile toilet.
  2. Structural Compatibility Check: If the mobile toilet uses a shared wall design, ensure that the sink's water inlet and outlet pipes can pass through the reserved holes in the wall to avoid rework later. Also, check the flatness of the non-slip marble or waterproof layer on the floor to prevent the sink from tilting after installation.

II. Specific Installation Process

  1. Measurement and Positioning:

    • Use a tape measure to determine the installation height (usually 80-85 cm from the ground) and horizontal position of the sink, ensuring alignment with the drain and water inlet pipes.
    • Mark the hole positions on the countertop or wall. For above-counter basins, holes need to be made on the countertop; for under-counter basins, they need to be fixed below the countertop.
  2. Countertop Hole Making and Basin Fixation:

    • Drill holes according to the marked positions, with the hole diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the drain pipe.
    • Place the sink in the predetermined position, adjust it to a level state using a spirit level, and firmly connect the basin to the countertop/wall using fixing screws or special clips. In customized designs, if the basin shares a structure with the wall, use expansion bolts for additional fixation.
  3. Pipe Connection and Sealing:

    • Water Inlet Connection: Install the angle valve onto the reserved water inlet pipe interface, wrap the threads with Teflon tape to prevent leaks, and then connect the cold and hot water pipes of the sink.
    • Drain Connection: Insert the outlet pipe into the drain, apply a circle of silicone sealant at the interface to ensure no gaps. If the mobile toilet's squat toilet and sink share a drainage system, check whether the drainage slope is reasonable.
  4. Sealing Test and Finalization:

    • Open the water inlet valve and check for leaks at each connection point, focusing on the angle valve and drain pipe interface.
    • Clean up excess silicone, wrap exposed pipes with waterproof tape to enhance moisture resistance. If the mobile toilet is equipped with an exhaust fan and lighting, ensure adequate ventilation and lighting in the sink area.

III. Considerations for Customized Designs

If the mobile toilet is non-standard and customized, the installation of the sink needs to be planned simultaneously with the overall structure. For example, when using an embedded design, pre-bury water pipes and electrical circuits in the wall in advance; if space is limited, choose small pedestal basins or wall-mounted basins to reduce the footprint.
