How to Install the Sewer System for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 05, 2026

The installation of the sewer system for mobile toilets involves three stages: confirming the sewage discharge method, on-site installation, and post-installation inspection. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Confirming the Sewage Discharge Method

The sewage discharge method for mobile toilets directly affects the sewer installation plan. If the flushing mode is adopted, it is necessary to plan the sewage discharge path in advance:

  • Compliance Requirements: Sewage discharge must comply with local environmental protection and municipal regulations. For example, direct discharge into rainwater pipes or natural water bodies is prohibited, and it must be connected to the municipal sewage pipe network or designated sewage collection and treatment systems.
  • Pipe Matching: Select the diameter of the sewage discharge pipe based on the toilet's design flow rate (usually ≥DN100) to ensure that the pipe's carrying capacity matches the toilet's usage frequency and avoids blockage risks.

2. On-Site Installation Steps

1. Foundation Fixing Operations

  • Main Body Positioning: Use lifting equipment to move the toilet main body to the designated location. Adjust the equipment's levelness using a level gauge to ensure that the horizontal and vertical deviations do not exceed 3mm, preventing drainage issues or structural damage due to tilting.
  • Anti-Tipping Measures: In areas with strong winds (such as coastal or high-rise platforms), use expansion bolts to fix the toilet bottom to the ground or use counterweights (such as concrete blocks) to increase stability and prevent the equipment from being overturned by strong winds.

2. Water and Electricity Connection and Debugging

  • Sewage Pipe Connection:
    • Connect the toilet's sewage pipe to the nearest sewer or sewage collection tank. The pipe slope must be ≥2% (i.e., a drop of 2 cm per meter in length) to promote the natural flow of sewage by gravity and reduce residue.
    • Use rubber sealing rings or special glue at the joints to prevent leakage. If connected to a sewage collection tank, reserve inspection ports for regular cleaning.
  • Water Supply Connection:
    • Connect the water inlet pipe to the toilet's water tank. It is recommended to use a pipe with a diameter ≥DN20 to ensure sufficient flushing pressure (usually ≥0.2MPa).
    • Install a check valve to prevent water backflow and wrap insulation materials (such as rubber-plastic sponges) to avoid freezing and cracking in winter.
  • Function Testing:
    • Open the water supply valve and check if the water tank fills smoothly without leakage.
    • Test the flush button and observe the drainage speed and sealing performance to ensure no sewage remains in the pipe after each flush.

3. Post-Installation Inspection and Delivery

  • Flush Testing: Press the flush button three times consecutively and focus on checking:
    • Drainage Smoothness: Whether the sewage is completely emptied within 5 seconds without backflow or bubbling.
    • Sealing Performance: Whether the joints of the sewage pipe and the connections between the water tank and the toilet are dry without leakage.
  • Delivery Documents: Provide installation drawings, pipe layout diagrams, and maintenance manuals. Specify the cleaning cycle for the sewage collection tank (e.g., once every three days) and the method for unclogging the sewage pipe (e.g., using a high-pressure water jet).

By following these steps, the sewer system for mobile toilets can be ensured to operate safely and efficiently, meeting long-term usage requirements.
