Disinfection of Mobile Toilet Sewage Tanks

Admin October 08, 2026

Two methods can be used for disinfecting mobile toilet sewage tanks: white vinegar soaking disinfection and alcohol wiping disinfection.

White Vinegar Soaking Disinfection: This is a relatively common and environmentally friendly disinfection method. First, after completing the initial cleaning of the tank, reassemble the tank. Next, open the inlet valve and let the water flush the tank several times. The purpose of this is to discharge the residues of cleaning agents used in the previous cleaning process, preventing them from reacting with the subsequent disinfectants, which could affect the disinfection effect, and also preventing secondary pollution of the tank by the residual cleaning agents. After completing the flushing, pour an appropriate amount of white vinegar into the tank. The amount of white vinegar should be determined according to the size of the tank, generally enough to cover the bottom of the tank and have a certain depth. After pouring in the white vinegar, let it sit in the tank for 1 hour. The acetic acid in white vinegar has a bactericidal and disinfecting effect. During this 1-hour soaking period, the acetic acid can react with bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms on the inner walls of the tank, destroying their cell structures and thus achieving the purpose of disinfection. After 1 hour, open the inlet valve again and flush away the white vinegar.

Alcohol Wiping Disinfection: Alcohol is a common disinfectant with the characteristics of rapid volatilization and good bactericidal effect. When using alcohol to disinfect a mobile toilet sewage tank, prepare a clean cloth and dip it in an appropriate amount of alcohol. Then, use the cloth dipped in alcohol to carefully wipe the inside of the tank, including the inner walls, bottom, and all corners. During the wiping process, ensure that the alcohol can fully contact all parts of the tank to achieve a comprehensive disinfection effect. Alcohol can quickly penetrate into the cells of microorganisms, denature their proteins, and thus kill bacteria and viruses. After completing the wiping, let the tank ventilate naturally for a while to allow the alcohol to completely volatilize, preventing residual alcohol from causing irritation to the human body.
