Connecting Mobile Toilet to Sewage Pipe

Admin October 12, 2026

When connecting a mobile toilet to a sewage pipe, if the length of the sewage pipe is insufficient, it can be extended using a offset flange or specific connection methods. At the same time, installation specifications must be followed to ensure tightness and drainage efficiency.

I. Methods for Extending the Sewage Pipe

  1. Using a Toilet Offset Flange
    PVC toilet connection offset flanges are a common choice, available in different lengths (e.g., 260mm to 460mm) and specifications to fit most rough-in distances. For more flexible adjustment, a cuttable PVC sewage pipe offset flange with a flange design can be selected, supporting personalized rough-in adjustments.

  2. Direct Docking Extension

    • Cut the original sewage pipe: Cut a section according to the groove, ensuring the cut threads are aligned;
    • Insert the long pipe: Insert the cut short pipe into the long sewage pipe, and apply special glue at the joint for fixation;
    • Docking with other pipes: Apply glue evenly in the middle of the docking area to ensure tightness.

II. Installation Precautions

  1. Floor Flatness
    Before installation, check the floor flatness. If the deviation exceeds 3mm, level it with cement mortar. If the toilet base is suspended, it may lead to seal failure and leakage.

  2. Sewage Pipe Slope
    Unless in special circumstances, it is not recommended to use an offset flange as it may change the pipe slope. Long-term use can easily lead to dirt accumulation, poor drainage, and even blockage. If it must be used, ensure the slope meets drainage requirements.

  3. Sealing Treatment

    • Apply special glue at the joint or use an odor-proof sealing flange;
    • For smart toilets, additionally confirm that the flange is tightly fitted to the sewage pipe to prevent odor leakage.

III. Special Requirements for Smart Toilets

  1. Circuit Load: It should be ≥1500W to avoid safety hazards caused by overload;
  2. Water Pressure Range: 0.15-0.75MPa. Insufficient water pressure may result in weak flushing;
  3. Socket Position: It should be 30cm from the ground, and a splash-proof box should be installed to prevent electric shock.

Summary: When extending the sewage pipe, choose an offset flange or direct docking according to actual needs. During installation, strictly control the floor flatness, slope, and tightness. Smart toilet users also need to additionally confirm circuit, water pressure, and socket specifications to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
