Mobile Toilet Sewage Pipe
Admin October 02, 2026
The design and selection of sewage pipes for mobile toilets need to be combined with their sewage discharge methods and specific application scenarios. Common types and accessories are as follows:

I. Sewage Discharge Methods of Mobile Toilets and Requirements for Sewage Pipes
The sewage discharge method of a mobile toilet directly affects the design and function of the sewage pipe. Common methods include:
- Conventional water-flushing type: It requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes. The sewage pipe needs to have pressure-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties. It is usually made of PVC or cast iron, with the end connected to a septic tank or municipal sewer network. Such sewage pipes need to ensure a reasonable slope to avoid blockage, and the joints need to be tightly sealed to prevent leakage.
- Vacuum sewage system: It sucks sewage into a collection container through negative pressure. The sewage pipe needs to meet airtightness requirements. It usually uses dedicated vacuum pipes, mostly made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or stainless steel, to withstand the negative pressure environment and prevent odor leakage.
- Water-storage sewage system: Sewage is discharged into a water storage tank and needs to be cleaned regularly. The design of the sewage pipe should facilitate disassembly and connection. It is commonly made of PVC, and the joints should be equipped with quick connectors or flange gaskets to simplify the maintenance process.
- Biodegradation technology: The sewage pipe needs to be connected to a biological treatment device. The material needs to be resistant to biological corrosion, such as stainless steel or pipes with special coatings. At the same time, it needs to ensure a stable flow rate to support the microbial degradation process.
II. Specific Products and Accessories of Sewage Pipes for Mobile Toilets
For the problem of mismatched sewage outlet positions, a toilet offset adapter (offsetter or sewage offset adapter) is a common solution:
- Function: By extending or changing the direction of the sewage pipe, it solves the problem of the non-correspondence between the sewage outlet and the drain outlet during the installation of a mobile toilet. The common offset distance is 5 to 10 centimeters, and in special cases, it can reach 15 centimeters.
- Material and accessories: The main body of the offset adapter is mostly made of PVC, which is corrosion-resistant and low-cost. The matching accessories include thickened flange gaskets and expansion joints, which are used to enhance the joint tightness and prevent sewage leakage.
- Price range: The price of ordinary PVC offset adapters ranges from a few yuan to tens of yuan. High-end models or customized products may be more expensive.
III. Selection and Installation Precautions
- Material matching: Select materials that are pressure-resistant, corrosion-resistant, or highly airtight according to the discharge method. For example, PVC is preferred for water-flushing types, and HDPE or stainless steel is required for vacuum systems.
- Slope and flow rate: Water-flushing sewage pipes need to maintain a slope of 1%-2% to ensure the smooth discharge of sewage; biodegradation systems need to control the flow rate to maintain microbial activity.
- Tightness: All joints need to be fixed with gaskets or glue to avoid secondary pollution caused by leakage.
- Maintenance convenience: Water-storage or biodegradation systems need to reserve inspection ports for regular cleaning or replacement of filter materials.
