Sewage Disposal Issues of Mobile Toilets

Admin October 02, 2026

There are various sewage disposal methods for mobile toilets, mainly including water-flush type, vacuum suction type, biodegradation type, water-storage sewage disposal system, water-flush and waterless-flush suction type, circulating water perforation type, and dry packaging type, etc..

  1. Water-flush type: This is the most common disposal method. It requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes. Sewage is discharged to septic tanks or municipal sewage networks through manual or automatic induction. The design of its sewage disposal system must comply with relevant national standards, such as the Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets CJJ14 - 2016, to ensure smooth and environmentally friendly sewage disposal. At the same time, septic tanks should be cleaned regularly to avoid blockages and odors, and attention should be paid to water conservation.
  2. Vacuum suction type: It uses the principle of negative pressure to suck sewage and waste into a collection container through a vacuum pump. When the sewage in the public toilet reaches a preset water level, the vacuum pump starts automatically and quickly sucks in the sewage and waste. This disposal method has high efficiency and low water consumption, and can effectively prevent sewage leakage and odor diffusion.
  3. Biodegradation type: It converts organic matter in sewage into harmless substances through biotechnology and then discharges it, which is environmentally friendly and can reduce the pollution of sewage to the environment.
  4. Water-storage sewage disposal system: It discharges waste into a water storage tank through water flushing. When the sewage reaches a preset water level, the flushing device starts automatically and flushes the waste into the water storage tank. When the water storage tank is full, it needs to be cleaned and replaced, and is suitable for places with sufficient water sources and easy cleaning.
  5. Water-flush and waterless-flush suction type: The water-flush type has a water flushing device, and the water tank is generally placed on top of the toilet, with a sewage tank at the bottom; the waterless-flush type toilet has no flushing device, and the bottom sewage pool directly receives excrement. These two types of mobile toilets have relatively small sewage pool capacities. When the number of users reaches a specified number, they need to be flushed with water in a timely manner, and the frequency of water flushing is relatively high.
  6. Circulating water perforation type: It is equipped with an intermittent aerobic and anaerobic fecal sewage treatment device, adds biological strains, and uses biofilm technology to accelerate the fermentation and decomposition of fecal sewage. The treated fecal sewage is recycled back to the toilet sanitary ware through a filtration device, saving water resources and reducing sewage intake.
  7. Dry packaging type: It has no flushing device. Excrement is received by a recyclable plastic bag placed under the toilet. A new plastic bag is automatically replaced after each use, and the plastic bags are collected and transported to a treatment plant for processing. It does not require any water flushing at all, saving water resources.
