Mobile Toilet Sewage Collection and Treatment
There are various methods for collecting and treating sewage from mobile toilets, primarily including storage-type, dry-packing type, foam-blocking type, microbial type, and water-flushing type.

The sewage tank of a storage-type mobile toilet is located beneath the squat toilet, offering flexible disposal options. It can be directly suctioned by a sewage suction truck, suitable for locations without fixed sewage disposal facilities; alternatively, it can be discharged directly through a sewage valve in places with a septic tank, provided the septic tank capacity is sufficient and regular cleaning is ensured to prevent sewage overflow.
The dry-packing type mobile toilet uses biodegradable plastic bags to collect excrement, automatically replacing the bag after each use. This method requires no water, making it suitable for water-scarce or environmentally demanding scenarios. After use, the plastic bags need to be collected and transported to a treatment plant for harmless disposal, such as composting or incineration, ensuring safe waste management.
The foam-blocking type mobile toilet utilizes foam generated from a foaming liquid mixture to cover the inside of the toilet bowl, replacing traditional flushing. The foam is delivered by compressed air, and the system requires only a small amount of water for hand washing to meet foaming needs. Sewage mixed with foam enters a collection tank and is periodically suctioned for treatment, reducing water consumption and sewage generation.
The microbial type mobile toilet separates excrement into feces and urine through a solid-liquid separation device. Feces enter a fermentation tank, where they are mixed with sawdust and biological strains and decomposed by microorganisms into CO₂ and H₂O, with a degradation rate of ≥99%; urine is treated through aeration, evaporation, and decolorization processes into reclaimed water, which is then used to flush the urinal again, forming a循环 (closed loop). This method achieves resource utilization and reduces environmental pollution.
The water-flushing type mobile toilet discharges sewage through pipes into municipal sewage networks or septic tanks, with the sewage system design complying with relevant national standards, such as the Urban Public Toilet Design Standard CJJ14-2016. This method is suitable for locations with complete sewage disposal facilities but requires regular cleaning of the septic tank to ensure smooth and environmentally friendly sewage disposal, preventing blockages or leaks.
