Mobile Toilet Septic Agent
Admin October 07, 2026
Mobile toilets can use septic agents to treat fecal waste. It is recommended to choose biological enzyme/microbial products and follow standard operating procedures to ensure effectiveness and safety.

Working Principle of Septic Agents
Septic agents decompose organic matter in feces, liquefying it and reducing its volume. The final product is not pure water but a liquid mixture containing water, carbon dioxide, small organic molecules (such as amino acids and sugars), and inorganic substances (such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), which can be regarded as a natural liquid organic fertilizer. This process is achieved through two mechanisms:
- Biological Enzyme/Microbial Type: These products rely on active microorganisms (such as Bacillus and Lactic Acid Bacteria) to secrete enzymes that decompose organic matter at its source, generating harmless substances. These products are environmentally friendly and safe, posing no harm to the environment, humans, or livestock, and are the preferred choice.
- Chemical Type: These products use strong acids or alkalis to corrode or oxidize feces, which may work quickly but carry risks such as corroding pipes and releasing harmful gases (such as hydrogen sulfide). Poor-quality products may even contain highly toxic ingredients like hydrofluoric acid, posing significant hazards and requiring careful use.
Usage Scenarios and Frequency
- Rural Household Dry Toilets or Small Septic Tanks: It is recommended to use the product 1-2 times per month, directly pouring it in at a ratio of 500 ml of product per 1 cubic meter of septic tank or following the instructions.
- Public Places or Large Septic Tanks: Typically, 1 bottle (approximately 1000 ml) of product per 3 cubic meters of septic tank is poured into the inlet monthly.
Key Operating Steps
- Activate Microorganisms: According to the product instructions, mix the septic agent with a small amount of brown sugar and dilute it with warm water at 15-40°C. Let it stand for a period (usually 30 minutes to 1 hour) to fully activate the microorganisms before pouring them into the septic tank, which can significantly improve decomposition efficiency.
- Initial Dosage: Add a sufficient amount (such as doubling the recommended ratio) to quickly establish a dominant microbial population and inhibit the growth of杂菌 (foreign bacteria).
- Subsequent Maintenance: Add the product regularly at the standard dosage without overusing it to avoid waste or disrupting the microbial balance.
Precautions
- Prioritize biological enzyme/microbial products to avoid potential safety hazards associated with chemical types.
- Wear gloves and masks during operation to prevent direct contact or inhalation of irritating gases.
- Regularly check the liquid level and decomposition effect in the septic tank. If there is an odor or incomplete liquefaction, increase the usage frequency or dosage appropriately.
