Mobile Toilet Sanitation Facility
A mobile toilet is a movable and modular sanitation facility that employs eco-friendly technologies to achieve water conservation and resource recycling, suitable for various public places.

Structural Composition
The core components of a mobile toilet include a fecal wastewater storage tank (or disposal unit), flooring, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofing, and mobility devices. Its frame is mostly welded from steel, with channel steel or I-beams used at the base to enhance load-bearing capacity, and square steel for column support. Wall materials vary, including color-coated steel plates, metal carved panels, aluminum-plastic panels, and anti-corrosion wood, meeting both structural strength requirements and aesthetic and durability considerations. The frame design supports hoisting operations, facilitating rapid movement and installation.
Classification Methods
- By structural form: Divided into single-unit structures (independent units) and composite structures (multi-unit combinations), with the latter expandable into large public toilets.
- By mobility method: Includes hoisting/transport types (relying on mechanical handling) and powered/trailer types (equipped with power systems or towable for travel), adapting to different transportation scenarios.
- By wastewater treatment method:
- Water-flush and non-water-flush suction types: Treat feces through water flushing or vacuum suction, requiring regular cleaning of storage tanks.
- Recirculating water-flush types: Utilize biodegradation or physical filtration technologies to purify wastewater, enabling water resource recycling.
- Dry-pack types: Use biodegradable bags to collect feces, requiring no water, suitable for water-scarce areas.
Technological Features
Some high-end models integrate intelligent systems, such as bottom-layer PLC data acquisition modules, 40-inch LED stall monitors, and 4G remote monitoring modules, supporting mobile app control of lighting and flushing systems to enhance management efficiency. Their mobility, modularity, and convenient transportation characteristics enable rapid deployment in areas where fixed public toilet construction is challenging, such as stations, docks, tourist attractions, and large construction sites, effectively弥补ing the shortage and layout deficiencies of urban public toilets.
Application Background
Mobile toilets originated to meet temporary and阶段性 (phased) restroom needs, such as during large events or disaster emergency scenarios. With urbanization progressing, governments have adopted them as supplements to fixed public toilets, deploying them in densely populated areas with limited construction conditions to optimize public health service coverage.
