Mobile Toilet Roof Production

Admin September 24, 2026

The production of mobile toilet roofs needs to be carried out according to material characteristics and process requirements, with common solutions including asphalt shingle roofs and galvanized steel sheet roofs. The following is an explanation from three aspects: material selection, process treatment, and functional realization:

I. Key Points for the Production of Asphalt Shingle Roofs

The products of Henan Hemai Industrial Co., Ltd. use asphalt shingles as the roofing material, with the core process centered around waterproofing performance. Asphalt shingles themselves have the characteristics of strong weather resistance and good flexibility, enabling them to adapt to roof structures of different shapes. During production, the shingles need to be fixed to the roof frame through a waterproof precision welding process, with the welding points evenly distributed to ensure structural stability. The key step lies in precise silicone sealant treatment: Apply high-elasticity silicone sealant at the shingle joints, roof edges, and around the fixing components to form a continuous waterproof layer, effectively blocking rainwater infiltration. In addition, the roof frame should be made of galvanized steel pipes or aluminum alloy profiles, which not only ensure load-bearing capacity but also prevent rusting, thereby extending the overall service life.

II. Key Points for the Production of Galvanized Steel Sheet Roofs

Another type of flat roof for mobile toilets uses galvanized steel sheets as the covering material, with the advantage of being low-cost and easy to process. The galvanized steel sheets should be cold-rolled steel sheets with a thickness of ≥0.8mm and a galvanized layer thickness on the surface of no less than 80g/㎡ to provide sufficient corrosion protection. During production, first cut the galvanized steel sheets to the appropriate size and fix them to the roof truss with self-tapping screws, with the screw spacing controlled at 15-20cm to prevent deformation. Sealant sealing is the core process to prevent water leakage: Use neutral silicone weather-resistant sealant to fill the joints between the sheets, around the screw holes, and at the junctions between the roof and the walls, forming an elastic sealing layer. This sealant layer needs to have the characteristics of UV resistance and temperature difference resistance to ensure that it does not crack in an environment ranging from -30℃ to 80℃.

III. General Process Requirements

Regardless of the material used, the production of mobile toilet roofs must meet the following general standards: The roof slope should be ≥5% to facilitate the natural drainage of rainwater; The drainage system should integrate gutter troughs and downspouts to avoid water accumulation; The top edge should be equipped with a water baffle with a height of no less than 5cm to prevent rainwater from flowing back; The overall structure should pass a water spray test to verify its waterproof performance, with the test time being no less than 2 hours to ensure there are no leakage points. In addition, if used in cold regions, a thermal insulation layer (such as polystyrene foam board) should be added inside the roof, with the thickness selected according to the local climate conditions to reduce thermal bridge effects.
