Mobile Toilet Roof Cover Installation

Admin September 26, 2026

The installation of a mobile toilet roof cover should be carried out in accordance with the roof structure and sealing requirements, following three steps: frame fixation, roof cover laying, and sealing treatment, while paying attention to material selection and acceptance standards.

I. Frame Installation and Fixation

  1. Dimension Measurement and Overlap Area Reservation: Measure according to the actual roof dimensions to ensure a 5cm overlap area between the frame and the wall, preventing rainwater infiltration.
  2. Main Beam and Secondary Beam Fixation: Use expansion bolts to fix the main beams to the wall, with a spacing of ≤80cm; the spacing between horizontal secondary beams should be ≤50cm to ensure structural stability.
  3. Overall Frame Assembly: Fix the base and wall panels (side panels, rear panel, front panel, and door frame) in sequence, tighten all screws, and ensure the frame is stable without wobbling.

II. Roof Cover Installation and Sealing Treatment

  1. Roof Panel Laying:
    • Lay the panels from the low to the high point, with an overlap width of ≥10cm. Apply sealant evenly at the joints (approximately 200g per linear meter).
    • Fix the screws with a spacing of ≤20cm and ≥3cm from the panel edges to prevent cracking.
  2. Sealing and Waterproofing Enhancement:
    • Apply waterproof tape at the joints, with the edge turned up ≥15cm to form a double waterproof barrier.
    • Design a single-sided slope of 5°-10° to ensure rapid rainwater drainage and reduce the risk of water accumulation.
  3. Top Component Support:
    • Install upper slots during the frame assembly stage to support the roof cover and enhance air circulation (e.g., reserve positions for ventilation louvers in advance).

III. Installation Differences for Special Types of Toilets

  1. Waterless Treatment Toilets: The roof cover installation should be carried out after the assembly of the toilet body to ensure it aligns with the side panel slots and insert silicone strips for reinforced sealing.
  2. Flush Toilets: Install the roof cover after the sealing treatment of the sewage and water supply pipes to avoid the need for disassembly during future maintenance.

IV. Precautions

  1. Safety Regulations: Wear safety harnesses during high-altitude operations and suspend work when wind speeds reach ≥6; two people should work together to prevent frame collapse.
  2. Material Selection: Choose materials based on climatic conditions, such as preferring color-coated steel sheets (0.4-0.6mm) or PVC waterproof membranes in rainy areas, and fiberglass-reinforced plastic for enhanced freeze resistance in cold regions.
  3. Acceptance Standards:
    • Conduct a water pouring test to ensure no leakage on the roof, with a drainage time of ≤3 minutes.
    • Check for no wobbling in the structure under hand pressure, no loose screws, and no cracking in the sealant.
