Mobile Toilet Right-Angle Edge Banding Installation
The installation of right-angle edge banding for mobile toilets can be carried out following these steps:

Select the appropriate edge banding strip Choose the appropriate edge banding strip material and specifications based on the toilet material (such as ceramic tiles, metal, or plastic) and actual dimensions. Common materials include PVC (waterproof, easy to clean) and aluminum alloy (durable, corrosion-resistant). Ensure that the width of the edge banding strip matches the gap at the wall corner to avoid issues of overly large or small gaps after installation.
Prepare materials and tools Prepare the following tools and materials in advance:
- Tools: Ruler (for measuring dimensions), pencil (for marking positions), electric drill (for drilling holes), electric hammer (for handling hard walls), screwdriver (for fixing screws), rubber mallet (for adjusting fit);
- Materials: Edge sealing adhesive (to enhance adhesion), drilling paste (to assist in drilling), screws (for fixing the edge banding strip), glass glue (used when edge banding with corner aluminum angles).
Clean the installation location Thoroughly clean the ceramic tile surface and wall corners using a cleaning agent or wet cloth to remove dust, grease, or old adhesive residue. Ensure that the installation surface is dry and level. If there are any uneven areas on the wall, repair them in advance to avoid affecting the fit of the edge banding strip.
Mark and place the edge banding strip Measure the length of the wall corner with a ruler and cut the edge banding strip to the appropriate size according to its specifications. Place the edge banding strip along the wall corner for a trial fit and use a pencil to mark the drilling positions on the wall (typically mark a point every 30-50 centimeters, with additional markings at the wall corners).
Drill holes and apply adhesive
- Drilling holes: Apply drilling paste at the marked positions and use an electric drill to create grid-patterned holes (it is recommended to drill 4 holes at the wall corners to ensure a secure fixation);
- Applying adhesive: Apply edge sealing adhesive evenly along the edge of the edge banding strip. If edge banding with corner aluminum angles, apply glass glue on both sides of the corner aluminum to enhance adhesion.
Fix and adjust Press the edge banding strip against the wall corner and gently tap it with a rubber mallet to make it fit tightly against the wall. Check if the gaps are even. Insert screws into the drilled holes and fix them with an electric drill, taking care to avoid hidden facilities such as water pipes and electrical wires inside the wall. After fixation, check the flatness of the edge banding strip again to avoid翘边 (warping) or depression.
Final inspection After installation, clean up any excess adhesive and check the stability of the edge banding strip (pull gently to ensure there is no looseness) and its aesthetic appearance (even gaps, no scratches). If any local areas do not fit well, supplement with glass glue or adjust the tightness of the screws.
Precautions:
- Before installation, confirm the load-bearing capacity of the wall and avoid drilling directly into lightweight partition walls or hollow bricks;
- Glass glue needs to cure for more than 24 hours in a dry environment and should not be touched during this period;
- If the toilet environment is humid, it is recommended to choose PVC edge banding strips with better waterproof performance.
