Mobile Toilet Replacement

Admin September 20, 2026

Mobile toilet replacement mainly includes two forms: upgrading of mobile public toilets in public areas and updating of mobile toilets at construction sites.

Upgrading of Mobile Public Toilets in Public Areas

Mobile public toilets in some areas have undergone comprehensive upgrades in terms of appearance and functionality. Taking seven mobile public toilets on Shiji Avenue at Weifang Road and Zhangyang Road at Miaopu Road as examples, they have made a new appearance. In terms of appearance, soft colors such as light beige and light brown are used as the base, with dark blue outlining the borders, creating a harmonious and elegant color scheme that enhances the aesthetic appeal of the urban landscape. Functionally, to meet the needs of special groups, a third restroom has been added, facilitating use by the elderly and families with children. In addition, a "Sanitation Workers' Rest Station" has been set up in one of the mobile public toilets at the intersection of Shiji Avenue and Weifang Road. The internal facilities are very complete, equipped with a refrigerator, shower room, microwave oven, charging ports, etc. The addition of these facilities not only provides convenience for sanitation workers, allowing them to have a place to rest and recharge during their breaks, but also reflects the city's care for this group of workers.

Updating of Mobile Toilets at Construction Sites

Mobile toilets at construction sites are also constantly being updated. The fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) integral mobile toilets that were commonly used in the past are gradually being replaced by plastic toilets. Plastic mobile toilets are made of high-density polyethylene material and are single-unit toilets, typically with dimensions of one meter by one meter. They have many advantages, including low energy consumption, low operating costs, the ability to operate without a power supply, ease of transportation, and the flexibility to be arranged according to the actual needs of the construction site. Currently, the mobile toilets available for rental in the Shanghai market include FRP flush-and-discharge mobile toilets, plastic mobile toilets, and color-steel plate mobile toilets. In marathons of various sizes across the country, the rental of mobile toilets generally opts for new-type plastic toilets due to their good material quality, which can generally be used for more than 10 years, meeting the usage needs of a large number of people during the event and facilitating disassembly and transportation after the event.
