Mobile Toilet Renovation of Public Toilets

Admin September 23, 2026

Mobile toilets can be used to renovate public toilets and offer numerous advantages, meeting the renovation needs of public toilets in terms of technology, materials, construction methods, and application examples.

From a technological development perspective, mobile toilets emerged during the third public toilet revolution (from the 1990s to the end of the 20th century). Since 2012, they have gradually evolved, forming various technical routes such as waterless flushing, foam sealing, and water flushing. These technical routes provide diverse options for the renovation of traditional public toilets, allowing for flexible application based on different site conditions and actual needs.

In terms of materials, the frames of mobile toilets are welded using national standard steel, providing high strength and stability to ensure the overall structural safety of the toilets. The surfaces are covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel plates or carved panels, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also effectively extend the service life of the toilets, which can reach over 20 years. Internally, they are equipped with independent urinal partition treatment systems that comply with relevant standards, meeting the basic usage functions and hygiene requirements of public toilets.

Regarding construction methods, mobile toilets are typically prefabricated in factories and can be installed on-site for immediate use. Compared to the complex processes of site selection, material procurement, and construction for traditional toilets, the construction method of mobile toilets offers significant advantages in terms of labor, material, and financial investment, greatly shortening the construction period and reducing the impact of construction on the surrounding environment.

Furthermore, there are practical application examples of mobile toilets being used to renovate public toilets. For instance, during the May Day holiday in 2026, the Jinci Scenic Area in Shanxi Province flexibly deployed buses as mobile men's toilets and temporarily converted fixed men's toilets into women's toilets to cope with the peak tourist flow, increasing the daily average reception capacity of restrooms in the area. This example fully demonstrates the flexibility and practicality of mobile toilets in addressing special scenarios and changes in tourist flow, effectively solving practical problems in the use of public toilets.
