Mobile Toilet Renovation Plan

Admin October 05, 2026

The renovation plan for mobile toilets should be comprehensively designed from multiple aspects, including appearance, functionality, structure, installation and maintenance, as well as special renovation needs. Details are as follows:

1. Appearance and Color Design
The renovation should focus on harmony with the surrounding environment. It is recommended to use soft tones (such as off-white and light gray) as the base, complemented by dark blue to outline the borders or accentuate local decorations. Such color combinations can enhance visual comfort and increase structural recognition through color contrast, avoiding visual fatigue caused by monotonous designs.

2. Internal Function Upgrades

  • Addition of a Third Restroom: To cater to the needs of the elderly and families with children, install barrier-free handrails, child safety seats, and emergency call devices to enhance safety and convenience.
  • Addition of a Sanitation Station: Designate an independent area within the toilet, equipped with facilities such as a refrigerator, microwave, and charging ports, to provide temporary rest, hot meals, and device charging services for sanitation workers. A shower room can meet cleaning needs during high temperatures or adverse weather conditions, reflecting humanistic care.

3. Structural and Material Optimization

  • Modular Design: Utilize lightweight aluminum alloy frames and high-strength composite panels to achieve rapid assembly and disassembly through standardized components, reducing transportation costs and adapting to different site requirements.
  • Thermal Insulation Treatment: Fill the wall cavity with polyurethane foam material and combine it with double-glazed windows and doors to effectively isolate extreme outdoor temperatures and ensure internal temperature stability.
  • Dry-Wet Separation Design: Guide wastewater into a collection tank through inclined drainage channels, with solid waste collected separately to reduce cross-contamination and lower cleaning frequency. The collection tank should be sealed to prevent odor diffusion.

4. Installation and Maintenance Specifications

  • Pre-assembly Inspection: Verify the quantity and integrity of all loose parts, focusing on checking whether the panel edges are flat and whether the frame connectors are rusted to avoid rework due to component defects.
  • Installation Sequence: Prioritize assembling the main frame and adjusting the smoothness of door and window openings before fixing the external panels. Anchor bolts should be tightened to the specified torque to prevent structural loosening.
  • Usage and Maintenance: Regularly clean stains on the color-coated steel surface and avoid scratching it with sharp tools. Drain pipeline water in winter to prevent freezing and cracking. When not in use for an extended period, disassemble the main body and store it in a dry environment to extend its service life.

5. Mobile Renovation of Fixed Toilets (Toilet Relocation)

  • Ground Elevation Method: Suitable for long-distance relocation, it requires constructing an 180-200 mm high base platform and pre-burying sewage pipes, ensuring a slope of ≥2% for drainage.
  • Wall-Drain Renovation: Convert floor drains to wall drains, laid concealed along the wall, eliminating the need for ground elevation and offering better aesthetics.
  • Same-Floor Drainage Relocation: For sunken restrooms, directly adjust the pipeline layout within the sunken floor layer to reduce floor height occupation and construction difficulty.
  • Downstairs Pipeline Modification Method: For inter-floor drainage structures, obtain consent from downstairs residents and have professionals break the floor slab to relay pipes. After construction, perform waterproofing treatment and a closed-water test.
