Mobile Toilet Renovation Diary

Admin September 21, 2026

Although there is no direct diary reference for mobile toilet renovation, key steps and experiences can be summarized by combining cases of toilet renovation and public toilet construction:

I. Preliminary Planning and Requirement Confirmation For mobile toilet renovation, it is necessary to first clarify the usage scenarios (such as scenic spots, construction sites, temporary events) and core requirements, for example, whether mobility is needed, the number of people to accommodate, and whether special facilities (such as barrier-free access and baby care rooms) are required. By referring to the construction cases of school public toilets, it is essential to plan in advance the locations of water and electricity interfaces, sewage disposal methods (direct discharge or sewage storage tanks), and ventilation system design to avoid rework later. If it is for temporary use, the selection of renovation materials can be simplified, giving priority to waterproof and easy-to-clean PVC panels or moisture-proof paints; for long-term use, durable materials such as tile paving and rust-proof metal frames need to be considered.

II. Basic Construction and Waterproofing Treatment Waterproofing is a core aspect of mobile toilet renovation. By drawing on the experience of toilet renovation, the floor requires two layers of waterproofing: the base layer should be coated with flexible waterproof paint (such as polyurethane) 2-3 times to ensure no gaps; the surface layer should be paved with waterproof membranes or tiles, and the slope design should be ≥2% for drainage. The waterproof height of the walls should be at least 1.8 meters, with special attention paid to strengthening the treatment of easily leaking areas such as wall corners and pipe roots. If it is an externally mounted mobile toilet (such as the case of externally mounted bathroom cabinets), a water barrier or waterproof partition should be installed at the connection to prevent water overflow.

III. Facility Installation and Space Optimization Select facilities according to requirements: squat toilets or toilets should be firmly fixed, with the sewage pipes aligned with the main sewage outlets; washbasins can be light ceramic basins or stainless steel integrated basins, with storage space reserved below; if space is limited, referring to the case of externally mounted bathroom cabinets, the washbasin can be moved outside the toilet and separated by glass partitions or half-walls, which not only expands the usable area but also maintains dry-wet separation. It is recommended to install exhaust fans or fresh air systems for the ventilation system to avoid odor accumulation; lighting should choose waterproof and moisture-proof fixtures with appropriate brightness.

IV. Acceptance and Maintenance Precautions After construction is completed, a closed-water test (accumulating water on the floor for 24 hours to check for no leakage) and water and electricity connection tests should be carried out to ensure the normal operation of facilities. Daily maintenance requires regular cleaning of the sewage storage tank (if it is a sewage storage type), checking whether the waterproof layer is damaged, and whether the ventilation system is unobstructed. If it is a movable toilet, regular inspections of the stability of structural components such as wheels and brackets are necessary to avoid tilting or damage.
