Mobile Toilet Renovation Design

Admin October 05, 2026

The renovation design of mobile toilets can refer to the following plans, optimizing functionality and practicality:

1. Water Storage Tank Transformed into a Mobile Toilet

This plan is suitable for scenarios with a limited budget and the need for flexible mobility. Core Steps:

  • Structural Construction: Split the water storage tank vertically and use the lower half as the base. Install universal wheels at the four corners of the wooden board for mobility. Use wooden strips to raise the tank body to an appropriate height (usually 1.8-2 meters). Open a side opening and install a door frame and plastic soft board as the wall, and cover the upper half of the water storage tank on top as the roof.
  • Drainage and Water Storage System: Drill a hole at the bottom to install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain. Drill a side hole to connect to an interface and fit a plastic bucket as a water storage device. Extend the water pipe to the door as the inlet pipe for the sink to separate sewage from clean water.
  • Equipment Installation: Use water pipes to make a simple bathroom heater (which needs to be connected to a power source or solar panel), a toilet, and a water tank. Connect the drainage pipe to the sewage tank to ensure smooth sewage discharge. Note: Regularly clean the water storage tank and the sewage tank to avoid odor generation.

2. Simple and Stylish Mobile Toilet Design

Suitable for public places or scenic spots, emphasizing the combination of appearance and functionality. Design Points:

  • Exterior Color Scheme: Use an off-white exterior wall paired with an orange curtain wall to enhance visual recognition. The exterior wall material should be waterproof and corrosion-resistant (such as PVC board or metal composite board).
  • Interior Layout: Set up multiple male and female toilet stalls according to usage needs, separated by partitions. Lay anti-slip floor tiles on the ground and install ventilation fans or exhaust vents on the walls to maintain air circulation.
  • Additional Functions: Add barrier-free facilities (such as handrails and low-position toilets) or smart devices (such as sensor faucets and automatic flushing systems) to enhance the user experience.

3. Space Utilization Design for Small Toilets

For mobile toilets with limited space, it is necessary to improve storage capacity through detailed design. Recommended Plan:

  • Niche Design: When enclosing the sewage pipes or columns, use the wall to dig a hole to make a niche. The shelf should have a 2-3 mm outward slope and leave ventilation gaps to prevent water accumulation. It can store shampoo, shower gel, and other items.
  • Storage Behind the Door: Install ultra-thin storage racks (such as mop clips, hooks, or pegboards) on the wall behind the door or the door panel to hang cleaning tools or towels, saving floor space.

4. Prefabricated Mobile Toilet Design

Suitable for outdoor or temporary scenarios, emphasizing rapid assembly and environmental protection. Design Features:

  • Structure and Materials: Adopt a warm-toned apple cabin shape with a double-color exterior wall design (such as light gray + wood grain) and a double-door insulation in the middle. The main frame is a light steel structure, and the exterior wall panels are made of environmentally friendly composite materials (such as aluminum-plastic panels or ecological wood).
  • Functional Modularization: The interior can be equipped with an independent toilet, sink, lighting system, etc., and can be quickly assembled through standardized interfaces. It is suitable for scenic campgrounds, construction sites, and other scenarios.
