Mobile Toilet Reference Specifications

Admin September 21, 2026

The reference specifications for mobile toilets cover three main aspects: barrier-free design, general design principles, and installation and management. Details are as follows:

I. Barrier-Free Mobile Toilet Design Specifications

  1. Space Dimensions: The internal net area should be ≥4.00 square meters, with a turning space diameter of ≥1.50 meters reserved; the net dimensions of the toilet cubicle should preferably be 2.00 meters (length) × 1.50 meters (width), with a minimum of no less than 1.80 meters × 1.50 meters.
  2. Passageways and Doors: The net width of the entrance passageway should be ≥800 millimeters, with smooth curves at turns; sliding doors or outward-opening flat doors are preferred for doors; inward-opening doors should reserve turning space and be equipped with emergency opening devices outside the door; horizontal grab bars with a height of 900 millimeters and door-closing handles should be installed on both the inside and outside of the door panels.
  3. Sanitary Fixtures and Safety Facilities: The height of the toilet seat should be 400-450 millimeters; the horizontal section of the bilateral L-shaped safety grab bars should be ≥700 millimeters, with a vertical height of 1.40-1.60 meters; the emergency call button should be 400-500 millimeters from the ground; the multifunctional table should have dimensions of ≥700 millimeters (length) × 400 millimeters (width) × 600 millimeters (height), and the low-position clothes hook should be ≤1.20 meters from the ground.
  4. Flooring and Drainage: Anti-slip floor tiles or coatings should be used, with a slope of ≤1%; a catch drain should be installed at the edge of the toilet to prevent sewage overflow.
  5. Signage and Lighting: International universal barrier-free signs (blue background with a white wheelchair symbol) should be placed at prominent positions at the entrance, passageways, and inside the toilet; the internal illumination should be ≥200 lux, with switch heights of ≤1.20 meters.
  6. Structure and Materials: The frame structure should be lightweight yet sturdy (such as aluminum alloy or galvanized steel pipes), meeting wind and earthquake resistance requirements; environmentally friendly materials should be selected for walls and floors.

II. General Design Principles for Mobile Toilets

  1. Overall Structure: The materials should be lightweight and durable, with a sturdy structure; the height and width should be reasonably designed, and the mobile device should be complete.
  2. Functional Configuration: Single-person or multi-person models should be selected according to needs; the interior should be equipped with anti-slip floors, independent flushing systems, and insulated models can be selected in winter; barrier-free facilities, women's private cubicles, or ventilation and deodorization devices can be added.
  3. Environmental Requirements: The design should follow environmental and ecological principles to reduce the impact on the environment.

III. Installation and Management Specifications

  1. Site Selection Points: It should be ≤50 meters from the construction area and away from living areas; the ground should be hardened, and drainage ditches should be set up.
  2. Daily Maintenance: The lessee should clean it once a day and disinfect it twice a week; a dedicated person should record the usage situation and regularly inspect the flushing system.
  3. Emergency Plan: Prepare spare toilets to meet sudden demands; check the drainage holes on rainy days and select models with reinforced bases in extreme weather conditions.
