Mobile Toilet Production Methods

Admin October 02, 2026

There are mainly two methods for producing mobile toilets: homemade using a water storage tank and factory prefabrication. Here are the details:

Homemade Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank

  1. Basic Modification: Take out a water storage tank from home and split it in half lengthwise using an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to facilitate moving the entire structure. Attach wooden strips to the upper side of the tank with self-tapping screws to increase height and provide space for installing other components.
  2. Door Frame and Wall Construction: Use an angle grinder to cut an opening on the side of the water storage tank for the door. Install sponge strips on both sides of the opening to form the door frame. Insert plastic soft panels between the wooden strips to create raised walls, providing some privacy and shielding.
  3. Roof and Waterproofing Treatment: Place the upper half of the water storage tank on top of the wooden strips to form the roof. Apply white waterproof paint to the wooden strips to prevent them from rotting due to moisture and extend their lifespan.
  4. Door Production: Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door that meets basic opening and closing requirements.
  5. Drainage and Water System Installation: Cut a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain for easy sewage discharge. Cut holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and install direct connectors. Place the plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect the shower made from water pipes. Install a tee under the water inlet pipe and connect it to a showerhead to meet bathing water needs. Place a toilet on the drain pipe opening, install a water tank, and secure it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to the sewage tank. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the tee on the outlet pipe and extend it to the door as the water inlet pipe for the sink. Cut a hole in the door and install a connector to complete the entire water and drainage system.

Factory-Prefabricated Mobile Toilets

Factory-prefabricated mobile toilets are constructed using a steel frame structure. Generally, the bottom is welded with channel steel or I-beams to ensure structural stability and load-bearing capacity. Square steel is used for the columns to enhance overall sturdiness. Wall materials are installed on the wall foundation, with common options including color-coated steel sheets, fiberglass, stainless steel, and metal carved panels. These materials have different characteristics; for example, color-coated steel sheets are relatively inexpensive and easy to install, fiberglass is corrosion-resistant, stainless steel is aesthetically pleasing and durable, and metal carved panels have strong decorative properties. The frame structure meets lifting requirements, facilitating easy movement and installation at different locations.
