Mobile Toilet Production

Admin September 20, 2026

Mobile toilets can be made from materials such as water storage tanks and chemical drums, and can also be classified according to structure, mobility method, and sewage treatment method.

Production Using Water Storage Tanks

Some young men have made a mobile toilet using a water storage tank. This method is relatively simple, mainly utilizing the water storage function of the tank to provide necessary water support for the toilet, meeting basic flushing needs. Some have even upgraded this approach by creating a solar-powered mobile toilet using a water storage tank. By installing solar panels, solar energy is converted into electricity to power lighting, ventilation, and other equipment in the toilet, making it both eco-friendly and energy-efficient, suitable for use in outdoor areas without a power supply.

Production Using Chemical Drums

Some young men have built a mobile toilet using two chemical drums. The specific steps are as follows:

  • Material Preparation and Initial Processing: Find two large chemical drums, remove the steel bars on top, and use a cutting machine to completely cut off the plastic lids.
  • Drum Assembly: Place the two plastic drums upside down together and secure upper and lower iron frames to enhance structural stability.
  • Seam Treatment and Hole Cutting: Cut out a door frame size and use rectangular iron sheets to fix the seam between the two plastic drums to prevent water leakage. At the same time, cut holes and install PVC pipes for drainage and ventilation.
  • Sanitary Equipment Installation: Install a toilet and toilet tank, connect and install an inlet pipe and a sink, make a showerhead with a PVC pipe and connect it to a water pipe to meet basic grooming needs.
  • Appearance and Function Improvement: Install two wooden doors and handles, and finally test all functions and connect the drainage outlet to a septic tank to ensure proper sewage discharge.

Classification of Mobile Toilets

  • By Structural Form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure mobile toilets are relatively independent and simple; composite-structure mobile toilets are composed of multiple parts and may have richer functions.
  • By Mobility Method: They can be divided into lifting/handling mobile toilets and powered/trailer-mounted mobile toilets. Lifting/handling mobile toilets require lifting equipment such as cranes for movement; powered/trailer-mounted mobile toilets can be moved by their own power or by being towed by a vehicle.
  • By Sewage Treatment Method: They are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction mobile toilets, and circulating water-flush mobile toilets. Water-flush mobile toilets use water for flushing, with relatively high cleanliness; waterless-flush suction mobile toilets treat feces by suction; circulating water-flush mobile toilets recycle flushing water, making them more water-saving and eco-friendly.
