Position of Mobile Toilet

Admin September 24, 2026

Toilet relocation is feasible, typically using a toilet offset connector to change the position of the drain outlet, addressing the issue of misalignment between the reserved sewage outlet in the bathroom and the toilet's sewage outlet.

Types of Offset Connectors and Applicable Distances

There are various types of toilet offset connectors, each suitable for different relocation distances. Integrated offset connectors are ideal for short-distance relocations, typically not exceeding 200mm. Elliptical flat-pipe offset connectors are suitable for longer distances, usually not exceeding 500mm. Wall-mounted toilet offset connectors can accommodate relocation distances ranging from 190 to 550mm. Common relocation distances range from 5 to 10 centimeters, with special cases reaching up to 15 centimeters, although exceeding this range is generally not recommended.

Installation Requirements

Installing an offset connector should be done before laying floor tiles to ensure proper integration with the floor and drainage system, avoiding potential issues and hazards from later installation. Additionally, a certain drainage slope must be maintained, with the slope requirement increasing with distance. Only by ensuring sufficient drainage slope can sewage be discharged smoothly, preventing water accumulation. During construction, it may be necessary to lower or raise the floor to adjust the slope and height appropriately, meeting drainage needs.

Relocation Risks

Using an offset connector increases the risk of toilet blockage. Due to the additional bends in the pipes introduced by the offset connector, sewage flow is more likely to be obstructed, leading to the accumulation of debris in the bends and causing blockages. Moreover, the increased bends can cause changes in air pressure, potentially leading to sewage backflow and affecting flushing performance. The smooth drainage system is altered by the addition of the offset connector, changing the flow direction and speed of water, as well as air pressure, which may result in sewage backflow and prevent the toilet from flushing normally.

Relocation Distance Recommendations

It is recommended to keep toilet relocation distances within 30 centimeters, with a maximum suggested distance not exceeding 1 meter. Furthermore, the relocation method should be determined based on factors such as the type of drainage (same-floor or inter-floor drainage) and the layout of the apartment. Different drainage types and apartment layouts impose varying requirements and limitations on toilet relocation. Only by considering these factors comprehensively can an appropriate relocation method be selected to ensure the normal use of the toilet after relocation.
