Mobile Toilets in Parks

Admin September 20, 2026

Mobile toilets suitable for parks are facilities designed to meet the temporary or fixed toilet needs of the public. They can be moved as a whole and feature diverse types, flexible structures, and multiple waste treatment methods.

I. Diverse Types Mobile toilets in parks can be classified into three categories based on functional zoning and design styles:

  1. Basic Functional Type: Focused on practicality, it features separate male and female sections. For example, there are four toilet stalls (two stalls plus urinals in the men's toilet and two stalls in the women's toilet), with a public hand-washing area in the middle. The toilet stalls are equipped with urinals and independent stalls, and clear logo signs are set up to meet basic usage needs.
  2. Comprehensive Supporting Type: Emphasizing functional completeness, it has a flat roof overall, with a color scheme of white and brown. It has double doors in the middle. In addition to basic sanitary facilities, it also includes a third toilet (for special groups such as the disabled and mothers with infants) and a management room, enhancing usage convenience.
  3. Landscape Integration Type: It stresses harmony with the park environment. For example, with a pastoral design style, it has a ridged roof decorated with straw, a spacious rain-proof area at the front, public hand-washing basins and beauty mirrors, unified wall panel and door colors, and additional partitions in the men's toilet. It meets functional needs while blending into the natural landscape.

II. Flexible Structures Mobile toilets can be divided into two types based on structural forms:

  1. Single-unit Structure: Designed as an independent unit, it is suitable for scenarios with limited space or temporary needs and can be quickly deployed and dismantled.
  2. Composite Structure: Composed of multiple modules, it can flexibly adjust the number of toilet stalls according to the park's foot traffic and supports the expansion of functional modules such as a third toilet or a management room.

III. Multiple Waste Treatment Methods According to sewage treatment technologies, mobile toilets can be classified into four types:

  1. Water-flush and Waterless Suction Type: It transports feces to a storage tank through water flushing or vacuum suction and regularly removes the waste. It is suitable for parks with a water source and convenient sewage discharge conditions.
  2. Recirculating Water-flush Type: It uses biodegradation or chemical treatment technologies to purify sewage for recirculating use, reducing water consumption. It is suitable for water-scarce areas.
  3. Dry Packing Type: It uses biodegradable environmental protection bags to collect feces, requiring no water source or sewage pipes. It is easy to install and suitable for ecologically sensitive areas or temporary event venues.

Mobile toilets, through modular design and mobility, can be quickly deployed in various areas of the park and support repeated use. They effectively solve problems such as the long construction period and fixed location selection of traditional toilets and are an important part of modern park infrastructure.
