Mobile Toilet Odor Removal

Admin September 20, 2026

Mobile toilet odor removal can be achieved through physical, chemical, biological, and integrated methods. Specific solutions are as follows:

Physical Odor Removal Methods

  1. Ventilation and Air Exchange: Install exhaust fans or natural ventilation systems to accelerate air circulation and expel foul air. It is recommended to have at least 10 air exchanges per hour to effectively reduce the concentrations of odors such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia.
  2. Activated Carbon Adsorption: Select activated carbon with a high iodine value (≥1000mg/g). Its microporous structure can efficiently adsorb odor molecules. Place 1-2 kg of activated carbon per cubic meter of space and replace it monthly to maintain adsorption effectiveness.

Chemical Odor Removal Methods

  1. Oxidizing Deodorizers: Use chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) solution with a concentration controlled between 0.1-0.3ppm. It removes odors by oxidizing and decomposing mercaptans and amines. Spray every 4 hours, suitable for high-concentration odor scenarios.
  2. Masking Deodorizers: Plant essential oil formulations containing limonene or citronellol mask odors through fragrance molecules, suitable for temporary event venues. A single application lasts about 2-3 hours, requiring additional spraying based on foot traffic.

Biological Odor Removal Methods

  1. Composite Microbial Agents: Apply microbial agents containing Bacillus subtilis (≥1×10⁸CFU/g) and nitrifying bacteria to decompose urea in urine and proteins in feces. Add 50g of microbial agents per 10 liters of excreta, achieving a decomposition efficiency of over 90%. Regularly replenish microbial agents to maintain activity.
  2. Biological Enzyme Deodorization System: Use immobilized enzyme reactors for continuous treatment of exhaust gases, achieving an ammonia removal rate exceeding 85%. The operating cost is approximately 0.5 yuan per cubic meter, suitable for long-term use in mobile toilets.

Integrated Odor Removal Solutions

  1. Three-Stage Treatment System: Combine physical filtration (PP cotton + activated carbon), chemical oxidation (UV photocatalysis), and biological degradation technologies. The entire system achieves an odor removal efficiency of ≥95%, suitable for high-demand scenarios.
  2. Smart Control System: Link ammonia sensors (detection range 0-100ppm) with spray devices. When the concentration exceeds 20ppm, the deodorization program is automatically triggered, achieving precise and automated management.

Deodorization Product Selection Common products on the market include Anshu Natural Deodorizer, Ultimate Deodorizer, and Excellent Dual-Effect Fly and Odor Remover. Selection can be based on usage scenarios (such as temporary events or long-term fixed installations) and odor types. For example, urinal deodorization pads are suitable for local odor removal, while Anshu Multi-Deodorization Fragrance Tablets are suitable for space freshening.
