Mobile Toilet at Meixi Lake

Admin September 22, 2026

The mobile toilets in the Meixi Lake area are located within two smart cultural and tourism stations, specifically at the bridgehead of No. 1 Bridge on Jieqing Island and at the intersection of Lianhu 1st Road and Huanhu Road.

I. Basic Construction These two smart cultural and tourism stations were constructed by Xiangjiang Group. The main structures are built with high-quality steel, ensuring robustness and the ability for modular assembly and installation. Their core function is to house China's most advanced mobile toilets, while also integrating diverse functions such as cultural promotion, beverage shopping, and restrooms, forming a comprehensive public service space. The project officially commenced trial operations on December 31, 2021, achieving an upgrade in public service facilities through technological innovation.

II. Technological Features and Functional Innovations

  1. Fecal Waste Treatment System: The stations are equipped with a self-treatment system capable of independently carrying out the harmless treatment of fecal waste, reducing reliance on external municipal sewage networks and aligning with the 'no-NIMBY' design philosophy.
  2. Modularity and Mobility: Utilizing standardized modular assembly, the stations facilitate rapid disassembly, reassembly, and relocation, adapting to various scenarios and embodying the core advantages of 'mobility and convenience'.
  3. Digital Empowerment: Through new economic carriers such as BOE digital screens, smart retail terminals, and shared spaces, traditional public toilets are upgraded into information service nodes with the functionality of a provincial-level direct information platform, achieving the integration of public services and the digital economy.

III. Social Benefits and Humanistic Care The stations not only enhance the quality of regional public services but also offset operational and maintenance costs through a digital new economic model, establishing a sustainable operational mechanism. Additionally, Xiangjiang Group has incorporated a 'rest area for sanitation workers' in the design, equipped with basic living facilities, providing a shelter from wind and rain for frontline workers, reflecting the humanistic warmth of the facility construction.

IV. Positioning and Significance As a provincial-level direct information platform and a pilot for the digital new economy, these two stations have transcended the functional boundaries of traditional public toilets, becoming a benchmark case for cultural and tourism public health services and providing a replicable model for the construction of urban public service facilities.
