Maintenance of Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

The maintenance of mobile toilets requires targeted handling based on specific fault types, mainly involving four aspects: structure, sanitation system, waste treatment, and routine inspection.

I. Overall Structure and Appearance Maintenance

  1. Box Deformation or Cracking: External impacts or long-term uneven force distribution may cause cracks or deformation in the box. Small cracks can be repaired with specialized plastic welding materials; if the deformation is severe or affects the sealing, the box or components need to be replaced, with costs varying depending on the material (ranging from several hundred to over a thousand yuan).
  2. Door Lock and Hinge Failures: Regularly applying lubricant to the hinges and lock cores can prevent rust; if the lock spring fails or the structure is damaged, the entire lock set needs to be replaced.
  3. Ventilation Blockage: The top ventilation openings are prone to blockage by leaves, dust, or insects, requiring regular cleaning to ensure air circulation.

II. Sanitation System and Flushing Devices

  1. Manual/Foot-Operated Flushing Valve Failures: If the valve fails to rebound, has weak or no water output after pressing, it is usually due to spring failure, seal aging, or scale blockage. During maintenance, the water inlet valve should be closed, the flushing valve disassembled to clean scale, and aging components replaced; if the valve body is cracked, it needs to be replaced entirely.
  2. Automatic Induction Flushing Device Issues: When the device fails to flush or continues flushing continuously, first check the power supply (such as battery level) and whether the infrared sensing window is blocked; if the issue persists, it may be a control board or solenoid valve failure, requiring professional maintenance.
  3. Storage Tank and Pipeline Leakage: Minor leaks can be repaired with waterproof sealing tape or specialized glue; if the tank has large cracks, it is recommended to replace it with a new tank to avoid contamination.

III. Waste Collection and Treatment System

For packing-type toilets, if packing is incomplete or fails, check whether the biodegradable film is damaged, whether the packing mechanism is stuck, or if there is a sensor failure, and adjust or replace components based on the specific cause.

IV. Key Areas for Routine Inspection

  1. Appearance and Structure: Regularly inspect the frame and walls for damage, and check if the door locks and handles are functioning properly.
  2. Water Supply and Drainage System: Check the water tank level and leakage, and clean the drainage pipes to prevent blockage.
  3. Sanitation Facilities: Ensure the toilet is clean and the flushing is smooth, and inspect the washbasin faucet and basin.
  4. Ventilation System: Confirm that the exhaust fan is operating normally and the ventilation openings are not blocked.
  5. Electrical System: Check the lights and sockets to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  6. Deodorization System: Regularly clean the filter to maintain deodorization effectiveness.
