Mobile Toilet Lower Water Tank Structure
Admin September 28, 2026
The lower water tank structure of mobile toilets mainly features two typical designs: the tipping-bucket type and the siphon high-level type. The specific structures are as follows:

Tipping-Bucket Water Tank Structure
- Tipping-Bucket Component: As the core part, it is connected to the bottom of the water tank via hinges and installed at an incline. Its design principle is based on the shift of the center of gravity. When the water volume in the tank reaches a set value (e.g., 15 liters), the tipping bucket automatically flips due to the change in the center of gravity, and the bottom drain opens to complete the flushing action. After flushing, the tipping bucket resets under the action of gravity, waiting for the next water storage.
- Inlet Valve and Drain Valve: The inlet valve uses a float valve or solenoid valve to control the water level. When the water level drops to the set low point, it automatically opens to replenish water and closes when it reaches the high point. The drain valve is linked to the tipping bucket. When the bucket flips, the drain opens simultaneously, and after flushing, it automatically closes to ensure tightness.
- Water Tank Body: Usually made of high-strength plastics (such as HDPE) or 304 stainless steel, it has corrosion-resistant and anti-aging properties to adapt to high-humidity environments. The capacity is designed according to the usage scenario, with a common range of 10-50 liters. The bottom is equipped with a drain and an inlet for easy installation and maintenance.
Siphon High-Level Water Tank Structure
- Tipping Bucket and Cover Plate: The tipping bucket has a cover plate at the bottom, and the倾倒 (tipping) angle is precisely controlled by limit posts and upright plates. When the water surface approaches the top of the siphon pipe, the cover plate tips over, causing the water surface to instantly submerge the pipe and trigger the siphon effect, achieving rapid drainage.
- Dual Siphon Pipe System: Two siphon pipes, a long one and a short one, are installed at the bottom of the water tank. The long pipe has a larger diameter and is used for flushing the toilet bowl; the short pipe has a smaller diameter and is used for flushing the urinal. Through the siphon principle, automatic flushing can be completed without additional power, resulting in significant water-saving effects.
- Filter and Water Delivery Pipe: The filter is installed at the drain of the water tank on the upper floor. After filtering impurities, it is connected to the area above the tipping bucket inside the water tank via a water delivery pipe, ensuring clean water supply and stable delivery.
Design Considerations
- Material Selection: Prioritize the use of corrosion-resistant and anti-aging materials such as 304 stainless steel or HDPE to extend the service life of the water tank.
- Water-Saving Performance: Achieve efficient water saving by adjusting the tipping bucket capacity (e.g., a single flush volume of 4-6 liters) or optimizing the diameter of the siphon pipes.
- Odor Prevention Design: Install a trap or water seal, and the tightness of the drain valve should meet the IPX4 protection level to prevent odor leakage.
The two structures can be selected or combined according to the specific needs of mobile toilets (such as usage scenarios, water-saving requirements, and maintenance convenience) to balance functionality and cost-effectiveness.
