Loading Mobile Toilets with Tail Lifts

Admin October 16, 2026

Mobile toilets can be loaded using box trucks equipped with lifting tail lifts. Here is a detailed explanation of loading mobile toilets with tail lifts:

I. Vehicle Selection Requirements When transporting mobile toilets, it is necessary to select box trucks equipped with lifting tail lifts that meet the access conditions for construction sites or event areas. For example, the mobile toilet trailers and flatbed truck chassis supplied by Foshan Nangong Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (equipment specification NGTT05BM-18/58-4S) have a load capacity of 5 tons and a net weight of 1.5 tons. They feature a 10# national standard manganese alloy channel steel structure, a 4MM non-slip patterned plate on the load-bearing surface, and are equipped with impact brakes, rotatable outriggers, and 600-9 solid tires, with a driving speed of 15KM/H. These vehicles have high structural strength, stable load-bearing performance, and the tail lift can assist in loading operations.

II. Tail Lift Loading Principle The lifting tail lift is driven by a hydraulic system, enabling vertical lifting and horizontal extension functions. During loading, the tail lift descends to the ground to form a ramp, and the mobile toilet is moved onto the tail lift surface using a forklift or manual pushing. Subsequently, the tail lift slowly rises to align with the truck's cargo compartment, and the mobile toilet is pushed into the compartment through horizontal movement. During this process, it is essential to ensure that the center of gravity of the mobile toilet aligns with the load-bearing center of the tail lift to avoid the risk of tipping over.

III. Operational Precautions

  1. Vehicle Stability: Before loading, check whether the truck's braking system (including service brakes and parking brakes) is functioning properly. Ensure that the vehicle is on a level and solid surface, engage the handbrake, and turn on the hazard lights.
  2. Tail Lift Load Limit: Strictly verify the weight of the mobile toilet against the rated load capacity of the tail lift (e.g., the tail lift of the NGTT05BM-18/58-4S model must match a total load of 5 tons). Overloading may cause deformation of the tail lift or hydraulic system failure.
  3. Securing Measures: After loading the mobile toilet into the compartment, use straps or chains to connect it to the fixed points in the compartment to prevent displacement during transportation due to bumps.
  4. Outrigger Use: If the vehicle is equipped with rotatable outriggers (e.g., two on each side of the NGTT05BM-18/58-4S model), extend the outriggers and adjust them to contact the ground before loading to enhance vehicle stability.
