Mobile Toilet Light Switch Wiring

Admin October 08, 2026

The wiring of the mobile toilet light switch should be selected based on the type of dual-control switch, as detailed below:

I. Wiring Steps for Traditional Mechanical Dual-Control Switches

  1. Preliminary Preparation and Safety Inspection

    • Disconnect the main power supply to the household and use an electrical tester to confirm that there is no voltage at all switch boxes and light positions to be operated.
    • Prepare tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers of corresponding sizes, and insulating tape.
    • Confirm the existing wiring: The light position should have a live wire, a neutral wire, and a light control wire; the switch position should have sufficient space reserved for wiring.
  2. Specific Wiring Operations

    • Main Switch Wiring: Connect the main live wire from the household to the common terminal (labeled as L) of one of the dual-control switches, typically choosing the switch at the doorway as the main switch.
    • Control Wire Connection: Use two insulated control wires to connect the two terminals (L1, L2) of the main switch to the L1 and L2 terminals of the other dual-control switch, respectively.
    • Light Fixture Live Wire Connection: Connect the common terminal (L) of the other dual-control switch to the live wire control wire of the lighting fixture using a wire.
    • Neutral Wire Circuit: Connect the neutral wire of the lighting fixture directly to the main neutral wire of the household to complete the neutral wire circuit.

II. Wiring Solutions for Smart Dual-Control Switches

  1. Single-Live Smart Dual-Control

    • Wiring Logic: Identical to that of traditional mechanical dual-control switches, eliminating the need to introduce a neutral wire to the switch box, suitable for renovation scenarios in old houses.
    • Precautions: The load power is limited; ensure that the total power of the lighting fixtures does not exceed the rated carrying capacity of the switch to avoid overloading and triggering faults.
  2. Neutral-Live Smart Dual-Control

    • Neutral Wire Connection: A neutral wire needs to be connected to each switch box, with the main live wire and neutral wire connected to the L and N terminals of each smart switch, respectively.
    • Control Wire Connection: Use two control wires to connect the corresponding control terminals of the two switches.
    • Light Fixture Live Wire Connection: Connect the common terminal of one of the switches to the live wire control wire of the lighting fixture, and connect the neutral wire of the lighting fixture directly to the main neutral wire.

III. Safety and Operational Specifications

  • Insulation Treatment: Exposed copper wires during the wiring process must be tightly wrapped with insulating tape to prevent short circuits and trigger faults.
  • Circuit Carrying Capacity: Before renovating an old house, confirm the carrying capacity of the circuit in advance to prevent overloading and fires.
  • Professional Construction: If unfamiliar with circuit operations, it is recommended to hire a professional electrician for on-site construction. Do not operate with live electricity blindly to ensure personal safety.
