Installation of Lower Sewer Pipe for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 19, 2026

The installation of the lower sewer pipe for mobile toilets should follow the following steps and key points:

1. Select an Appropriate Location
Before installation, identify a site with good ventilation and convenient drainage. Ensure there is sufficient operating space around the sewer pipe opening. Avoid low-lying or easily waterlogged areas to prevent sewage backflow. For outdoor installations, consider the terrain slope to ensure smooth natural drainage.

2. Connect the Sewer Pipe

  • Basic Connection: Choose an appropriate adapter (such as PVC or metal) based on the type of sewage outlet on the mobile toilet, ensuring the adapter size matches the sewer pipe perfectly. Connect one end of the sewer pipe tightly to the sewage outlet and extend the other end to the drainage system or septic tank, laying it horizontally or vertically along the ground.
  • Installation of New-type Offset Flange: If using a toilet offset flange, insert its lower interface into the original sewage pipe and backfill with cement slurry for fixation; connect the upper interface to the toilet sewage outlet. Clean the connection area, apply PVC-specific adhesive, install a sealing ring, and add a small amount of lubricant to prevent flipping. Avoid dropping debris into the pipe throughout the process.

3. Use Sealing Materials
Apply sealing adhesive evenly to all connection points (such as the interface between the sewage outlet and the sewer pipe, and the offset flange interface), ensuring full coverage of the contact surface. Press the interfaces to allow the adhesive to fully fill the gaps, forming an airtight layer to prevent odor leakage or sewage leakage. Choose sealing materials that are corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant.

4. Maintain the Angle of the Sewer Pipe
The sewer pipe should be laid vertically or horizontally, with a slope not exceeding 5%. If the angle is too large, sewage may backflow due to insufficient flow velocity, causing pipe blockage or odor backflow. After installation, check the angle with a level and adjust the supports or elevate the pipe if necessary.

5. Choose the Right Product
Select the type of sewer pipe based on needs:

  • Toilet Offset Flange: Suitable for long-distance displacement, offering a combination of elbows and flat pipes (length 0.5-2 meters), priced between 26-245 yuan, and select the model based on the displacement distance.
  • Telescopic Sewer Pipe: Such as the rear telescopic pipe for wall-mounted toilets, with built-in steel wire reinforcement for strong anti-deformation capabilities, suitable for complex installation environments.
Products should comply with national drainage standards, with priority given to odor-proof and easy-to-clean designs.

6. Post-installation Maintenance
Regularly clean the sewer pipe, using pipe unclogging agents or high-pressure water guns every 1-3 months to prevent the accumulation of urine scale and feces. Check if the sealing adhesive is aging or cracking and reapply it promptly. In winter, take anti-freezing measures to prevent pipe freezing and cracking, which could affect usage.
