What Materials Are Used for Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin September 28, 2026
The materials commonly used for mobile toilet installation need to balance durability, corrosion resistance, portability, and environmental friendliness. The specific choice depends on the requirements of the scenario. Common materials are as follows:

I. Metal Materials
- Aluminum Alloy: As a mainstream material for skeletons and frames, its density is only one-third that of steel. It has strong corrosion resistance, and its surface can be enhanced for rust prevention through oxidation treatment or fluorocarbon spraying. It is also easy to process and shape. In typical applications, the weight is controlled at 3-5 kg/m², making it suitable for large-scale and rapid installation scenarios.
- Stainless Steel: Mainly used for hardware in the toilet interior (such as water tanks and water pipes), door hinges, and some exterior finishes. It has extremely strong corrosion resistance and is especially suitable for coastal areas, high-humidity environments, or chemical corrosion environments. However, its cost is relatively high (about 1.5-2 times that of aluminum alloy), and it is difficult to process. It is usually only used for small-area components.
II. Plastic/Composite Materials
- PVC Board: Often used for interior partitions, wall panels, and ceiling panels. It has the characteristics of water resistance, moisture resistance, and easy cleaning. The surface can be printed with patterns to enhance aesthetics. Its density is about 1.4-1.6 g/cm³, making it lightweight and low-cost (about 50-150 yuan per square meter). It is suitable for large-scale applications, but products that meet environmental standards (such as RoHS) should be selected.
- Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP): Composed of resin and glass fibers, when used for the outer shell or overall structure, its strength is close to that of steel, but its weight is only one-fourth to one-third of that of steel. It is also corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant. The price usually ranges from several thousand to tens of thousands of yuan. The disadvantage is that the surface is easily scratched, the repair cost is high, and regular maintenance is required.
III. Wood Materials
- Preservative-Treated Wood: After pressure treatment, it can be used for interior decoration or exterior frames. It has a natural texture and is easy to process. However, it needs to be regularly painted with preservative coatings and may deform in high-humidity environments. It is generally used in scenic spots, homestays, and other scenarios with high aesthetic requirements and is not recommended as a structural material.
- Eco-Wood: Composed of wood powder and plastic, it combines the appearance of wood with the durability of plastic. Its water resistance and insect resistance are better than those of natural wood, but its high-temperature resistance is poor. It should be avoided from long-term exposure to sunlight. Its price is about 1.2-1.5 times that of preservative-treated wood, making it suitable for scenarios that pursue a natural style but have a limited budget.
IV. Other Materials
- Rock Wool Sandwich Panel: When used for ceiling panels or partition walls, filling with rock wool (density ≥ 80 kg/m³) inside can effectively provide sound insulation and heat insulation. Its fire rating reaches Class A, making it suitable for areas with a high density of people.
- High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Board: It has high strength, impact resistance, and UV resistance. It is often used as the bottom and exterior decoration. The price is about 200-500 yuan per square meter.
For temporary event scenarios (such as exhibitions and music festivals), it is recommended to prioritize the combination of an aluminum alloy frame + PVC board interior decoration, which balances portability and cost (the price per unit is about 3000-8000 yuan) and allows for quick installation and disassembly.
