How to Install Mobile Toilets: A Guide for Technicians
Admin September 20, 2026
The installation of mobile toilets requires selecting the appropriate process based on the type. Home-use models can be assembled by individuals, while construction site rental models require professional team operation. Here are the specific installation steps and precautions:

I. Installation of Home-Use Mobile Toilets (Basic Model)
- Anti-slip Treatment: Insert silicone anti-slip pads into the four corners of the bottom to ensure stable contact with the ground and prevent sliding or tipping.
- Main Body Assembly: Align the buckle positions of the upper and lower buckets, press down vertically until the buckles are fully engaged, and check that the assembled structure is firm.
- Function Testing: After installation, pour a small amount of clean water to test the flushing function and confirm that the drainage is smooth and leak-free.
II. Installation of Construction Site Mobile Toilets (Rental Scenario)
Pre-installation Preparation
- Site Survey: Choose a flat and solid area, away from main construction roads, excavation edges (recommended distance ≥1.5 meters), and pollution sources to avoid toilet tilting due to ground settlement or vibration.
- Material Verification: Check that all accessories such as the cabinet, door lock, flush valve, and sewage pipe are complete, and confirm that the flush valve model matches the water source pressure.
- Foundation Preparation: Clear the site of debris and lay a gravel or concrete foundation with a thickness of ≥10 centimeters. The load-bearing capacity for a single toilet should be ≥200kg/㎡ to prevent cabinet sinking.
On-site Installation Steps
- Cabinet Positioning: Use a forklift or crane to lift the cabinet smoothly onto the foundation and adjust it to a completely level state using a level to avoid malfunctions of the door lock or flushing system due to tilting.
- Drainage Connection: Connect the sewage pipe to the on-site drainage system or sump pit, wrap the joint with Teflon tape and add a sealing ring, and install an anti-backflow valve at the end to prevent sewage backflow.
- Flush Debugging: After connecting the water source, test the flushing function multiple times, observe the drainage speed and water volume, and ensure there is no blockage or leakage.
- Internal and External Inspection: Check that internal facilities such as the sink and hooks are firmly fixed, and that the external cabinet joints are sealed to confirm no air leakage or odor leakage.
Usage and Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: Clean the toilet interior daily, replenish consumables such as toilet paper and hand soap, and regularly wipe the surface with a chlorine-based disinfectant.
- Regular Inspection: Check the sealing of electrical circuits (such as lighting and exhaust fans) and valves (flush valve, anti-backflow valve) monthly, and replace any aged or damaged parts promptly.
- Safety Regulations: Set up signs such as 'Slippery When Wet' and 'No Smoking' around the toilet, and keep it away from storage areas for flammable and explosive materials.
If problems such as cabinet tilting or poor drainage occur during installation, stop operations immediately and contact the rental team or supplier for handling to avoid damage caused by disassembly by oneself.
