Mobile Toilet Installation and Commissioning
Admin September 22, 2026
The installation and commissioning of mobile toilets should follow modular design principles, ensuring rapid deployment and stable operation through standardized processes. This is divided into three parts: installation procedures, commissioning precautions, and industry standards.

I. Installation Procedures
Site Survey and Preparation
- Clear obstacles (such as gravel, pipes, and wires) along the moving path to ensure a ground bearing capacity of ≥5 tons per square meter, preventing equipment tilt or damage due to unstable foundations.
- For temporary outdoor use, reserve space for ground anchors or expansion bolts to secure the equipment and prevent displacement.
Moving Operations
- Manual Wheeled Mobile Toilets: Check the front wheel steering flexibility, lock the rear wheels, and push slowly at a speed ≤5 km/h to avoid side-turning or high-speed movement that could cause tipping.
- Forklift Handling: Ensure the forklift tines are fully inserted into the reserved slots, lift slowly with a stable center of gravity (speed ≤0.3 m/s), and prevent equipment slippage or forklift tipping.
Fixing and Commissioning
- Level Adjustment: Use a spirit level to check the box's levelness and adjust the chassis's adjustable feet bolts (adjustment range 50-100 mm) to stabilize the equipment.
- Pipe Connection: Connect the sewage pipe, water inlet pipe (if any), and power supply using standardized quick-connect fittings (such as clamp-type or quick-plug types) to ensure tightness and conduct a water test to check for leaks.
II. Commissioning Precautions
Mobile Device and Chassis Design
- The wheeled chassis should use heavy-duty casters or fixed wheels (wheel diameter 200-400 mm, made of polyurethane or rubber) with a single-wheel load capacity of 300-500 kg to ensure shock absorption and load-bearing performance.
- When lifting or handling with a forklift, use the reserved lifting rings or forklift slots to avoid equipment damage due to mismatched interfaces.
Quick Connection and Fixing System
- The sewage/water supply system should use standardized interfaces for easy connection to municipal sewers or septic tanks.
- For outdoor fixing, use expansion bolts or screw piles (length 300-600 mm) to ensure the equipment remains in place under strong winds or impacts.
Prevention of High-Risk Misoperations
- Do not move wheeled toilets on soft soil or loose sand to prevent wheel sinking and chassis damage.
- When moving on slopes, lock the fixed wheels to prevent equipment from sliding uncontrollably and causing personnel or equipment damage.
III. Industry Standards and Supporting Facilities
Mobile toilets must comply with the Mobile Toilets (CJ/T 381-2011) standard, which specifies requirements for box dimensions, structural strength, sewage systems, waterproof ratings (such as IPX4 or higher), ensuring equipment safety and durability.
