Technical Standards for the Mobile Toilet Industry

Admin October 16, 2026

The technical standards for the mobile toilet industry cover multiple aspects including structural materials, sanitary ware, electrical safety, environmental adaptability, sewage disposal, design specifications, environmental performance, and waterless flush toilets, as detailed below:

In terms of structural materials, main structural materials such as steel and wood must meet design specifications and quality standards. Steel should have quality certification documents and be free from surface rust and cracks; wood should be dry and free from decay and insect damage. Wall materials such as color-coated steel sheets and fiberglass should have uniform color, no scratches or deformation, with the coating thickness of color-coated steel sheets and the strength and corrosion resistance of fiberglass meeting standards. Floor materials such as non-slip tiles and anti-corrosion wooden floors should be hard, wear-resistant, and non-slip, with wooden floors requiring anti-corrosion treatment and controllable moisture content.

For sanitary ware, items such as toilets, washbasins, and faucets should be reliable, water-saving products with product certification and quality inspection reports. The toilet's sewage outlet should be equipped with a flip-type odor sealing device.

Regarding electrical safety, electrical wiring should be neat and standardized, with wires protected by conduits and different voltage levels separated. The distribution box should be installed in a location convenient for operation and maintenance, with electrical components inside intact and functioning reliably. Lighting fixtures should be installed according to design requirements, with switches and sockets at consistent heights and within allowable deviations in the same room. After installation, insulation resistance tests and power-on tests should be conducted.

In terms of environmental adaptability, mobile toilets should be able to withstand a temperature range of -40℃ to 60℃ and possess certain wind, earthquake, and lightning resistance capabilities.

For sewage disposal, sewage disposal methods should comply with environmental requirements, utilizing technologies such as biodegradation and foam sealing. The sewage disposal device should be well-sealed, and the waste tank should be equipped with an automatic full alarm.

Regarding design specifications, the internal space should be reasonably designed, with minimum space requirements for toilet compartments and management rooms, considering barrier-free design, and ensuring that signs and labels comply with relevant standards.

In terms of environmental performance, it covers multiple sub-standards including hygiene safety and health protection, odor control and air quality, material environmental friendliness and durability, sewage treatment and discharge, and adaptability to special scenarios, with clear regulations on disinfection rates, odor gas concentrations, material usage, and sewage discharge indicators.

Waterless flush toilets are regulated by the GB/T18092-2000 'Waterless Flush Toilets' standard and are suitable for locations without water supply and drainage systems.
