How to Renovate the Interior of a Mobile Toilet

Admin October 10, 2026

The following plan can be referred to for the interior renovation of a mobile toilet, which requires scientific planning combining functionality and practicality:

I. Material Selection and Basic Construction

  1. Wall and Floor Materials: Prioritize the use of light-colored bamboo-wood fiber boards for interior wall panels, which are moisture-resistant, easy to clean, and environmentally friendly; lay waterproof and non-slip floor mats on the ground to ensure safety. If the budget allows, PVC non-slip flooring can be chosen for its stronger wear resistance.
  2. Waterproofing: Seal the joints between walls and floors with glass glue. The waterproof height of shower area walls should be no less than 1.8 meters to prevent mold growth due to long-term moisture.

II. Renovation of Water Storage Tanks and Water Supply and Drainage Systems

  1. Sealing and Drainage of Water Storage Tanks: Drill a hole in the ground inside the water storage tank, insert an elbow and connect it to a water pipe, and fix it with sealant to prevent leakage; the toilet should be precisely aligned with the drainage outlet and sealed with glue around it.
  2. Water Pipe Layout: Fix water pipes to the wall with clips. When installing a faucet, connect a pipe cap to the water pipe below it and drill a hole as the drainage outlet; after drilling the hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue to fix a stainless steel sink, ensuring smooth drainage.
  3. Equipment Connection: The water inlet pipe of the toilet tank and the shower hose should be connected independently to avoid cross-contamination; it is recommended to install the shower bracket opposite the toilet to prevent splashing when covering the toilet lid during showering; if space allows, the sink can be connected to the toilet to use wastewater for flushing (regular pipe cleaning is required to prevent odors).

III. Space Optimization and Storage Design

  1. Exterior Placement of the Sink: If there is sufficient space outside the mobile toilet, the sink can be moved outside, leaving only the toilet and shower area inside to improve usage efficiency.
  2. Wall Utilization: Install pegboard hooks to store cleaning tools; create niches near the sink and in the shower area for storage. The shelves should have a 2-3 millimeter outward slope and leave ventilation gaps to prevent water accumulation and mold.
  3. Door Modification: Reduce the door size (e.g., to a width of 60-70 centimeters) to increase wall space utilization and reduce the area occupied by opening the door.

IV. Detail Handling and Safety Protection

  1. Ventilation Design: Install an exhaust fan on the top or reserve ventilation openings to maintain air circulation; if wastewater is used for flushing, the pipes should be disinfected regularly.
  2. Anti-slip and Anti-collision: Lay anti-slip mats on the shower area floor and install anti-collision strips at wall corners; choose round-cornered door handles to avoid bumps.
  3. Lighting Optimization: Install waterproof LED lights on the top and add wall lights in the shower area to ensure sufficient and shadow-free lighting.

The renovation plan should be adjusted according to the actual space dimensions, prioritizing the satisfaction of basic functional needs before gradually optimizing comfort and aesthetics.
