How to Install a Mobile Toilet Indoors

Admin October 09, 2026

The indoor installation of a mobile toilet can be carried out according to the following steps:

Planning and Preparation Before Installation

  • Determine the Type and Specifications: There are various types of indoor mobile toilets on the market, including dry composting toilets, packing toilets, and micro biological treatment toilets. When choosing, factors such as usage frequency, disposal convenience, budget, and available space should be considered. For example, if the usage frequency is high and space is limited, a micro biological treatment toilet may be a better choice; if the budget is limited and disposal requirements are not high, a packing toilet may be more suitable.
  • Location Selection Considerations: Choose a location that is well-ventilated, relatively private, and convenient for use and maintenance. Good ventilation can effectively reduce odors, privacy ensures the user's privacy, and convenience for maintenance improves the overall user experience. At the same time, ensure that the ground is solid and level to prevent the toilet from being unstable during installation or wobbling during use.
  • Space and Dimension Measurement: Accurately measure the net space dimensions of the planned installation location and compare them with the specific external dimensions of the product to ensure sufficient space for installation, use, and maintenance operations. Generally, in addition to the floor space occupied by the toilet itself, some space should be reserved for people to enter and exit and for cleaning work.
  • Preparation of Supporting Facilities: Prepare corresponding supporting facilities according to the type of toilet selected. For example, a dry composting toilet requires covering material. Some models may need to be connected to an exhaust fan outdoors, in which case ensure there is a suitable vent near the installation location. If the toilet requires electricity, prepare a power outlet. Also, prepare cleaning and disinfection tools for subsequent maintenance of the toilet.

Installation Implementation Steps

  • Unpacking Inspection and Verification: Open the packaging, take out all the components, and check them one by one against the list in the instruction manual to see if there is any damage caused by transportation or missing parts. If any problems are found, contact the merchant promptly to replace or reissue the parts to ensure the smooth progress of the installation work.
  • Assembly of the Main Frame: Many mobile toilets are packaged in separate parts. First, assemble the toilet base, the body (or treatment tank), and the upper toilet seat and lid. Follow the instructions in the manual and use the provided tools to firmly connect all parts. Check that all screws and connectors are secure to prevent loosening or detachment during use.
  • Installation of Silicone Anti-slip Pads: For some mobile toilets, silicone anti-slip pads need to be installed in the four corners of the bottom. Align the upper and lower bodies and press down on the buckles to secure them. This can increase the stability of the toilet and prevent it from sliding during use.
