In terms of the renovation of barrier-free facilities in public toilets, Fugou, Henan has actively promoted the work and achieved remarkable results. In March 2025, based on feedback from the public, the Fugou County Disabled Persons' Federation forwarded clues to the Fugou County People's Procuratorate, pointing out that there were many problems in the construction and maintenance of barrier-free facilities in some public toilets. For example, some public toilets lacked barrier-free access or had excessively steep access ramps, causing great difficulties for people with mobility impairments. Inside, there were also missing safety grab bars and call devices, failing to ensure the safety and timely assistance needs of users.

It suggested that the relevant departments complete the renovation of public toilets with prominent problems within a time limit, conduct a comprehensive inspection of public toilets in urban areas, and establish a long-term maintenance mechanism to ensure the continuous and proper operation of barrier-free facilities in public toilets.

The Fugou County People's Procuratorate provided full-process tracking and supervision.
