Mobile Toilet Heating Project

Admin September 24, 2026

The mobile toilet heating project utilizes a three-tier protection system of 'insulation-heat tracing-heating' combined with intelligent temperature control technology to ensure normal operation in extremely cold environments of -30℃. The core measures include basic insulation, pipe freeze protection, active heating systems, and innovative technology applications.

1. Basic Insulation: Blocking Heat Loss
Double-layer color steel plates filled with polyurethane foam or rock wool (with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.024W/(m·K)) are used, providing three times the insulation effect of ordinary brick walls. EPDM rubber sealing strips are installed on doors and windows, and ventilation openings are upgraded to temperature-controlled shutter blinds, reducing heat loss by over 60%. For example, in a -20℃ environment, such a structure can limit the internal temperature drop of the toilet to only 1-2℃ per hour, providing a foundation for subsequent heating.

2. Pipe Freeze Protection: Ensuring Water Flow
Self-regulating heat tracing cables (5-15W/m) are wrapped around pipes, accompanied by aluminum foil heat conduction layers to ensure uniform heating. In a -15℃ environment, the pipe surface temperature can rise above 5℃ within one hour. Key nodes such as valves are layered with double insulation materials, and drainage pipes are wrapped with 50mm thick insulation layers. Some projects further reduce freezing risks by draining residual water or adding antifreeze (with a freezing point as low as -40℃).

3. Active Heating Systems: Rapid Warming

  • Electric Heating Solution: PTC ceramic heating plates are installed on the walls of the toilet area, capable of raising the temperature of a 1.5㎡ space from -5℃ to 10℃ within 5 minutes, with a surface temperature limit of below 60℃. Some models are equipped with energy-saving air conditioning systems for automatic temperature control.
  • Fuel-Fired Hot Air System: In extreme cold conditions (below -20℃), a 30,000kcal/h fuel-fired hot air blower is activated, delivering hot air through ducts to raise the temperature of a 5㎡ space by 15℃ within 30 minutes.
  • Municipal Heat Source Utilization: When available, connection to a centralized heating system can provide continuous and stable heating through radiators, suitable for long-term fixed use scenarios.

4. Intelligent Temperature Control Technology: Precise Energy Saving
All heating equipment is equipped with temperature controllers. For example, heat tracing tapes automatically activate when the pipe temperature drops below 3℃ and deactivate when it rises above 8℃. Heating plates in the toilet area are controlled by temperature and humidity sensors, with a startup threshold set at 12℃. Some projects also adopt waste heat recovery systems, utilizing hot air generated by treatment equipment to preheat water, further improving energy efficiency.

5. Innovative Technology Applications: Breaking Through Low-Temperature Limits
Some models adopt waterless designs (such as foam sealing or vacuum suction) to completely avoid freezing risks. Others reduce the freezing point by draining residual water or adding antifreeze. Waste heat recovery systems preheat water by recovering hot air generated by treatment equipment, reducing the energy consumption of active heating.
