Mobile Toilet Gender Sign
There are various types and situations of mobile toilet gender signs, with some special designs being withdrawn due to issues. Common designs are diverse, and national standards provide recommended styles.

The adjustable gender signs of 'tide toilets' have been withdrawn: Some scenic spots once installed 'tide toilets' where the male and female signs at the entrance could be manually adjusted. The original intention of this design was likely to flexibly adjust the usage areas of male and female toilets according to the differences in the number of male and female toilet users at different times, thereby improving the toilet's usage efficiency. However, during actual operation, numerous management loopholes and safety hazards emerged. Since ordinary tourists could freely change the signs, it was extremely easy to cause confusion in the male and female toilet areas. For example, after the signs were incorrectly changed, men might mistakenly enter the female toilet area, and women might enter the male toilet area, leading to a chaotic toilet-using situation. Moreover, this chaos could also result in serious issues such as privacy breaches, bringing great inconvenience and a poor experience to tourists. Therefore, at present, all the adjustable signs of the tide toilets involved have been withdrawn.
Common toilet gender sign designs are diverse: In daily life, common toilet gender sign designs are rich and varied. In addition to traditional text signs, there are also many creative pattern signs. For example, using a wine bottle to represent men and a wine glass to represent women; using football shoes and high-heeled shoes for differentiation; using red lips and a beard as signs; and even using bicycle styles (men's bicycles have crossbars while women's do not) to distinguish between male and female toilets.
National standard recommended styles: The national standard recommends using small figures with pants to represent men and skirts to represent women as toilet gender signs. In terms of color, black, blue, or brown are recommended. Moreover, these signs must be posted in a conspicuous position beside the door so that people can quickly and accurately identify them. However, it should be noted that this standard is only a recommendation and not a mandatory requirement. Therefore, in actual scenarios, we can still see various different designs of toilet gender signs.
