Flush-Free Methods for Mobile Toilets
Flush-free methods for mobile toilets mainly include waterless packaging, foam sealing, microbial degradation, circulation filtration and chemical treatment, mechanical sealing, and special material toilets, among others.

The waterless packaging method involves placing a biodegradable plastic bag beneath the toilet bowl. Using a foot pedal or manual device, waste automatically falls into the bag, which is then sealed and stored in a collection bin. This method requires no water for flushing, and the plastic bag is biodegradable, offering good environmental protection.
The foam sealing method utilizes a specialized foaming agent. The system automatically sprays a large amount of foam mixed with water to cover the interior of the toilet bowl. The foam blocks odors and slides waste into the collection box. This method requires only a minimal amount of water for handwashing to generate foam, resulting in extremely low water consumption. Additionally, the lubricating effect of the foam reduces waste adhesion.
The microbial degradation method involves adding specific microbial strains to the bottom of the toilet. These strains decompose excrement into carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of inorganic substances. Some advanced designs can also recycle treated urine for re-flushing, achieving water resource recycling and ensuring an environmentally friendly and pollution-free treatment process.
The circulation filtration and chemical treatment method purifies the liquid portion for reuse in toilet flushing cycles, while the solid portion is separated and stored. This approach reduces water consumption through water recycling and effectively removes odors and harmful substances through chemical treatment.
The mechanical sealing method employs gravity-based or foot-operated mechanical sealing mechanisms. Using a flip plate or sealing cover inside the toilet bowl, it isolates odors and directs waste into a storage tank below. The storage tank has a capacity ranging from 100 to 500 liters and is pre-filled with a small amount of disinfectant or deodorizer. Some models are also equipped with stirring devices or biodegradation packs to accelerate the decomposition of solid waste, reducing the need for flushing.
Among special material toilets, ceramic wide-mouth squat toilets feature a special nano-glaze finish that prevents waste from adhering easily. After use, a small amount of tissue paper can be used to wipe the toilet clean. Waterless urinals are mostly made of ceramic and are designed to effectively block odors. They consume no water or electricity during construction and use, making them suitable for places with high hygiene and water-saving requirements.
