Mobile Toilet Floor Repair
Admin September 22, 2026
Mobile toilet floor repair requires selecting the appropriate method based on specific issues. Common problems and repair steps are as follows:

1. Floor Gap Treatment If floor gaps affect aesthetics or easily trap dirt, the following methods can be used:
- Grout Filling: Clean dust and debris from the gaps, ensure they are dry, then mix cement or tile-specific grout evenly according to the ratio. Use a grout tool to fill the gaps and smooth them out. After complete drying, clean up excess material. This method is suitable for small gaps without structural damage.
- Silicone Sealant Filling: Choose the appropriate silicone sealant model based on the gap width. Load the silicone tube into a caulking gun, evenly squeeze it along the gap to fill it, and use a dedicated silicone scraper or wet finger to smooth the surface. After drying, trim excess silicone with a utility knife. Silicone sealant filling has waterproof and mold-resistant properties, suitable for humid environments.
- Floor Mat Covering: If the gaps are large or the repair cost is high, choose waterproof floor mats or carpets, cut them to the appropriate size according to the gap location, cover them, and secure them with double-sided tape or dedicated adhesive. This method is a temporary solution and requires regular inspection to check if the mat has shifted or is damaged.
2. Floor Loosening or Hollowing Repair If the floor has local loosening or hollowing, choose the repair method based on the extent of damage:
- Local Patching: Use tools to clean up loose tiles, measure the size, and purchase new tiles of the same specifications. Apply waterproof adhesive or tile adhesive on the ground and the back of the tile, press and fix it, then fill the gaps. After patching, check the drainage slope to avoid water accumulation.
- Overall Reinstallation: If the entire floor is loose or the hollowing area is large, remove all tiles, clear old adhesive and基层 (subfloor) debris, and reinstall tiles with new adhesive. During installation, use a level to check flatness and test the drainage system for smoothness to prevent subsequent leaks.
3. Leakage Problem Handling Leakage may be caused by pipe rupture or subfloor damage and requires step-by-step troubleshooting:
- Locate the Leak Point: Turn off the water source and check for破裂 (rupture) traces in the pipes or drainage system below the floor. If the leakage is caused by pipe problems, first repair the pipes (such as replacing damaged pipe sections or sealing joints), then reinstall the floor.
- Reinforce the Base: For loose areas on tile floors, use epoxy resin adhesive to fill the gaps and enhance adhesion; if the subfloor is severely cracked, first repair the subfloor (such as leveling with cement mortar), then repave the floor. After repair, conduct a closed-water test to confirm no leakage.
Precautions:
- Ensure the floor is dry and clean before repair, and use waterproof materials to prevent water seepage.
- If the drainage system or structural damage (such as cracking of load-bearing beams) is involved, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel to avoid safety hazards caused by self-operation.
