What Materials Are Used for Mobile Toilet Floors

Admin October 06, 2026

Common materials for mobile toilet floors include non-slip tiles, PVC flooring, fiberglass, metal anti-slip plates, ceramic materials, artificial quartz stone, epoxy self-leveling floor paint, and microcrystalline stone materials. Here is a detailed introduction:

Non-slip tiles: Mostly full-body tiles or antique tiles, they have non-slip textures on the surface, which can effectively increase friction and reduce the risk of people slipping. They have strong waterproof properties, preventing liquid penetration from damaging the floor structure. They are wear-resistant and impact-resistant, suitable for scenarios with high foot traffic, such as mobile toilets at large events. However, non-slip tiles are slightly heavier and are mostly used in fixed or semi-mobile toilets.

PVC flooring: It is lightweight and has good flexibility, making installation convenient and significantly shortening the construction period. It comes with a non-slip layer and is waterproof, stain-resistant, and easy to clean. It can also be treated with antibacterial agents to effectively inhibit bacterial growth, making it a common choice for small and medium-sized mobile toilets. However, PVC flooring is prone to aging when exposed to high temperatures for a long time, affecting its service life.

Fiberglass: Using an integrated molding process, it has excellent waterproof properties, ensuring that the floor is not damaged in humid environments. It is lightweight, has high strength, is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and is easy to clean, making it suitable for harsh outdoor environments, such as temporary toilets at construction sites and scenic spots. However, fiberglass is relatively expensive, increasing the overall cost of mobile toilets.

Metal anti-slip plates: Mostly made of galvanized steel plates or stainless steel plates, they have a textured surface to create a non-slip effect. They have strong load-bearing capacity and good durability, suitable for scenarios with high load-bearing requirements, such as mobile toilets at large gatherings. However, metal materials need to be properly anti-corrosion treated; otherwise, they are prone to rust in humid environments, affecting aesthetics and service life.

Ceramic materials: For example, fully glazed ceramic tiles have a Mohs hardness of 6 - 7, are highly wear-resistant, have relatively high strength, and can resist common acid and alkali corrosion. They are easy to clean and can maintain good hygiene, making them suitable for mobile toilets with high hygiene requirements.

Artificial quartz stone: It has a hardness of up to 7 and a compressive strength of not less than 150MPa. It has good resistance to stains and chemicals. Its seamless splicing feature also gives it a significant advantage in mobile toilet applications, preventing dirt from accumulating in seams and facilitating cleaning and maintenance.

Epoxy self-leveling floor paint: It has a compressive strength of ≥7MPa, good wear resistance, and excellent chemical corrosion resistance. It can form a seamless, flat, and aesthetically pleasing floor coating, preventing floor leakage and corrosion and enhancing the overall quality of mobile toilets.

Microcrystalline stone materials: They have a Mohs hardness of 5 - 6, high compressive strength, and strong chemical stability. They can effectively resist chemicals and friction in toilets, maintaining the beauty and durability of the floor.
