Mobile Toilet Floor Installation

Admin September 21, 2026

When installing the floor of a mobile toilet, it is essential to focus on ground foundation treatment, floor material selection, and anti-slip and water accumulation prevention measures. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Ground Foundation Treatment

The core prerequisite for installing the floor of a mobile toilet is a flat and solid ground, which requires targeted treatment based on the usage scenario and load-bearing requirements.

  • Flatness Requirements: The ground should be free of significant bumps or cracks to prevent floor deformation or instability of the entire toilet structure due to uneven ground. For example, during the installation of a mobile toilet at a construction site in Luohe, the ground flatness error was required to be no more than ±5mm to ensure tight adhesion between the floor and the ground.
  • Load-Bearing Capacity Enhancement: Determine the load-bearing standard according to the toilet type (e.g., a single-person toilet should have a load-bearing capacity of ≥200kg/㎡). Enhance the ground's load-bearing capacity by laying crushed stone or a concrete foundation. It is recommended that the crushed stone layer be 10-15cm thick, and the concrete foundation should have a strength of C20 or higher to prevent ground subsidence after long-term use.
  • Special Scenario Adaptation: In outdoor or rainy-season usage scenarios (such as at the Xuchang Marathon), additional anti-slip mats should be laid or the drainage slope should be increased (it is recommended that the slope be ≥2%) to prevent floor slipping or corrosion caused by water accumulation after rain.

2. Floor Material Selection and Installation

The floor material should be durable, anti-slip, and easy to clean. Common choices and installation points are as follows:

  • Customized Anti-Slip Marble Floor: Suitable for high-end or long-term fixed mobile toilets. Measure the dimensions in advance and process the marble. Use special adhesive for installation to ensure tight joints and a flat surface.
  • Anti-Slip Plastic/Composite Floor: Lightweight and cost-effective, suitable for temporary or frequently moved scenarios. Check whether the buckles on the back of the floor are intact before installation. Fix the floor by splicing and avoid using sharp tools to scratch the surface.
  • Metal Grating Floor: Good ventilation, often used in waterless flush toilets, but requires regular cleaning of the grating gaps to prevent blockage. Use expansion bolts to fix the frame during installation to ensure a firm connection between the grating and the frame.

3. Anti-Slip and Water Accumulation Prevention Details

  • Anti-Slip Treatment: Apply an anti-slip coating or stick anti-slip patches on the floor surface, especially strengthening key areas such as entrances and washbasins that are prone to wetness.
  • Drainage Design: If the floor is made of non-sealed materials (such as gratings), reserve drainage holes or hidden ditches on the ground to ensure quick drainage of sewage. For sealed floors, guide the water flow to the drainage system through the ground slope.
  • Edge Sealing: Seal the joints between the floor and walls and pipes with waterproof glue to prevent water seepage and damage to the base layer.
