Floor Drain for Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

The design and selection of floor drains for mobile toilets should be based on relocation needs and product characteristics. Currently, there are ultra-thin floor drains and matching fittings on the market that are suitable for relocation scenarios and can meet the drainage requirements of mobile toilets.

I. Core Requirements for Floor Drains in Mobile Toilets

Mobile toilets often require floor drain relocation due to space constraints or adjustments in drainage paths. The core requirements include:

  1. Space Adaptability: Drainage pipes must be connected within a limited height to avoid raising the floor or causing poor drainage due to overly thick fittings.
  2. Odor and Blockage Prevention: Given the high usage frequency of mobile toilets, floor drains should be equipped with odor-proof cores (e.g., silicone or gravity magnetic types) and filters to prevent odor backflow and blockages from debris.
  3. Corrosion Resistance: In the humid environment of toilets, floor drain materials should be corrosion-resistant (e.g., 304 stainless steel or copper alloys) to extend service life.

II. Floor Drain Solutions for Relocation Scenarios

  1. Ultra-Thin Floor Drain + Flat Pipe Combination
When relocating floor drains, traditional round pipes may not be installable due to height limitations. In such cases, a 50x30 flat pipe can be used with an ultra-thin floor drain. The flat pipe can be laid close to the floor, reducing vertical space usage, while the ultra-thin floor drain (e.g., with a thickness ≤30mm) connects directly to the flat pipe for low-level drainage. For example, a 304 stainless steel ultra-thin flat-bottom floor drain relocation pipe (¥19.0) can seamlessly connect with the flat pipe to resolve height differences after relocation.

  2. Dedicated Relocation Floor Drain Products
There are floor drains on the market specifically designed for relocation scenarios, such as the relocation ultra-thin 304 stainless steel floor drain (¥19.5). Its bottom features a flat structure that can be directly inserted into the relocated drainage pipe without additional adapters. These floor drains usually come with removable odor-proof cores for easy cleaning and maintenance.

  3. Long Drainage Pipe Floor Drains
For mobile toilets with long drainage paths, a long drainage pipe floor drain (e.g., with a length ≥50cm) can be chosen. Its built-in extension pipe can reach the main drainage outlet directly, reducing the use of elbows and lowering the risk of blockages. The length of such floor drains should be customized based on the actual drainage distance to ensure efficient drainage.

III. Considerations for Choosing Floor Drains

  1. Material Priority: 304 stainless steel or copper alloy floor drains are highly corrosion-resistant and suitable for humid environments; plastic floor drains are prone to aging and not recommended for long-term use.
  2. Odor-Proof Function: Choose floor drains with odor-proof cores to prevent odor diffusion, which is especially crucial in mobile toilets with limited ventilation.
  3. Drainage Speed: The opening area of the floor drain should be large enough (e.g., with a diameter ≥50mm) to ensure rapid drainage and prevent water accumulation.
  4. Installation Convenience: Prioritize floor drains with a removable design for easy cleaning of debris or replacement of odor-proof cores in the later stage.
