Fire Rating of Mobile Toilets
The fire rating of mobile toilets is typically B1, which is classified as a difficult-to-burn material. However, the specific rating can vary depending on factors such as material and structure. Common fire rating classifications include Class A, B1, B2, and B3.

Class A: This is a non-combustible building material that rarely catches fire. For example, a mobile toilet made of stainless steel with a metal carved panel shell that is 16mm thick combines the safety of a Class A fire rating with an aesthetically pleasing and smooth appearance. Materials of this grade provide extremely high safety in fires, effectively preventing the spread of flames.
Class B1: This is a difficult-to-burn building material that is resistant to ignition, micro-burning, and carbonization when exposed to open flames or high temperatures in the air. The fireproof panels of mobile toilets are often made of magnesium oxide boards or fiber cement boards as the base material, achieving fire resistance through the addition of flame retardants (such as aluminum hydroxide and borates). Their fire resistance limit is usually 1-2 hours. According to the Chinese national standard GB 8624-2012 'Classification of Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products', Class B1 materials must pass rigorous combustion performance tests, including indicators such as combustion heat value and flame spread index.
Class B2: This is a combustible building material that immediately catches fire or undergoes micro-burning when exposed to open flames or high temperatures in the air, and continues to burn or micro-burn after the fire source is removed. Materials of this grade are prone to burning in fires, with a relatively fast spread of flames and lower safety.
Class B3: This is a highly flammable building material that easily catches fire in the air and continues to burn after the fire source is removed. Materials of this grade are extremely prone to burning in fires, with rapid flame spread and very poor safety.
In practical applications, high-quality mobile toilet products are constructed using materials that meet fire safety requirements. For example, their wall and roof materials undergo fire performance testing to ensure that their combustion performance ratings meet specified standards. However, the quality and fire performance of mobile toilets produced by different manufacturers can vary. Therefore, when selecting a mobile toilet, attention should be paid to its fire rating to choose a product that meets safety standards.
