Mobile Toilet Fecal Water Treatment

Admin September 27, 2026

There are various treatment methods for fecal water in mobile toilets, including water-flush and non-water-flush suction types, circulating water-flush types, microbial degradation types, zero-discharge resource utilization technologies, and mobile toilets with built-in septic systems or septic tanks.

Water-flush and Non-water-flush Suction Types: Water-flush mobile toilets use a water tank to flush feces into a bottom sewage tank, requiring regular suction equipment to clean the fecal water in the sewage tank to prevent overflow and odor. Non-water suction types directly receive excreta in the sewage tank without flushing, but also require frequent suction to ensure normal toilet use and hygiene. These two methods are suitable for places with high hygiene requirements and suction conditions.

Circulating Water-flush Type: This type uses biofilm technology to treat fecal sewage through aerobic and anaerobic processes. Adding specific microbial strains can accelerate the decomposition of feces. The treated water can be recycled for toilet flushing, resulting in significant water savings of over 80%, reducing suction frequency, and lowering maintenance costs.

Microbial Degradation Type: This treatment method first separates the fecal water into solid and liquid components. Solid feces are mixed with sawdust and microbial strains for fermentation, decomposing into carbon dioxide and water with a degradation rate of over 99%. Urine is treated through aeration and evaporation to be converted into reclaimed water for reuse, achieving resource recycling.

Zero-discharge Resource Utilization Technology: Technologies such as closed-loop fermentation can convert fecal water into organic fertilizer and water vapor, achieving zero discharge. This technology is suitable for rural or areas without sewer networks, being both environmentally friendly and economically valuable, contributing to sustainable development.

Mobile Toilets with Built-in Septic Systems or Septic Tanks: Mobile toilets with built-in septic systems do not require external septic tanks, having internal fecal and water tanks for easy movement and use. Mobile toilets with septic tanks have built-in small septic tanks that perform preliminary treatment of feces and sewage through microbial decomposition, sedimentation, and filtration. The septic tank capacity is reasonably designed to accommodate multiple uses, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
