Mobile Toilet External Sewage Installation
Admin October 08, 2026
The installation of external sewage for mobile toilets should be carried out according to the type specifications, with key steps and precautions as follows:

I. Installation Steps for Direct-Discharge Mobile Toilets
Site Assessment and Preparation
- The ground should be solid and level, with preference given to cement-hardened or asphalt surfaces; for earth surfaces, gravel should be laid and compacted or a concrete base should be poured.
- The drainage connection point should be close to the municipal sewage network or septic tank interface, and the connection of the sewage hose should be smooth, avoiding sharp bends or reverse slopes to prevent sewage backflow.
- Reserve sufficient space for personnel passage and maintenance vehicle operations, avoiding low-lying areas prone to water accumulation.
Infrastructure Pre-installation
- Pre-install the underground sewage pipe interface to the ground surface, and install an anti-odor floor drain or对接法兰 (docking flange, here translated as 'docking flange' for clarity, but ensure a proper technical term is used in the final version), with a diameter matching the toilet's sewage outlet.
- If water and electricity support are required (such as for lighting and flushing devices), reserve waterproof power outlets and water supply pipe interfaces to ensure electrical safety.
Main Body Installation and Leveling
- Use a forklift or crane to place the toilet main body steadily, aligning the sewage outlet with the pre-installed ground interface.
- Level the cabinet body with a spirit level to ensure the correct flow direction of the flushing system water and smooth flow of waste into the storage tank.
System Connection and Testing
- Confirm that the sewage valve is in the closed state, and use qualified pipe fittings to seal the connection points to prevent leakage.
- Test the drainage smoothness to prevent blockages or sewage backflow caused by an increased number of pipe bends.
II. Installation Points for Water-Flush Direct-Discharge Mobile Toilets
Site Selection and Site Assessment
- The ground conditions should be solid and level, avoiding soft or water-prone areas; a ventilated location is beneficial for odor dissipation.
- Balance convenience and concealment to ensure user privacy and psychological comfort.
Foundation Fixing and Wind Protection
- For hard surfaces (cement/asphalt), use non-slip mats or rubber pads for fixing; for soft surfaces, lay gravel or prefabricated cement slabs.
- In outdoor windy areas, use straps, ground stakes, or wind-resistant cables for reinforcement to prevent displacement.
System Connection and Inspection
- Connect the water supply system to the water supply network or an independent water tank through an external water pipe, and check the water pressure stability and the working status of the flusher.
- Confirm that the storage tank is installed correctly and that the sewage valve is initially closed.
III. General Precautions
Pipe Design Specifications
- Avoid excessive pipe bends to reduce the risk of sewage backflow caused by air pressure changes.
- The slope of the sewage pipe should meet requirements, with a higher slope for longer distances to ensure smooth drainage.
Sealing and Odor Control
- Use double sealing (flange ring + glass glue) at the sewage connection point to prevent mold growth caused by long-term moisture.
- Regularly check the sealing of the sewage valve and replace aging rubber rings to prevent odor leakage.
Safety and Maintenance Requirements
- Reserve maintenance space (at least 15cm) to facilitate later maintenance of electrical circuits and water pipes.
- Test the action status of the leakage protector monthly to ensure electrical safety and extend the service life of the equipment.
