Mobile Toilet Exhaust Fan Combination

Admin October 08, 2026

The mobile toilet exhaust fan combination requires scientific configuration from four aspects: power matching, duct layout, protective design, and filtration system.

Power matching is the core parameter of the exhaust fan combination. For a single mobile toilet, it is recommended to configure a small exhaust fan with a power of ≥5W, which can meet basic ventilation needs. For large toilets used by multiple people, a dual-fan parallel design should be adopted to ensure an air exchange rate of 8-10 times per hour. For example, a toilet with an area of 10 square meters and a height of 2.5 meters has a volume of 25 cubic meters. Calculated at an air exchange rate of 8 times per hour, the required air volume should be 200 cubic meters per hour. In this case, dual-fan parallel operation can effectively improve ventilation efficiency. Insufficient power can lead to poor ventilation and the accumulation of odors, while excessive power may increase energy consumption and noise. Therefore, precise matching is required based on the actual usage scenario.

Duct layout directly affects ventilation efficiency. The exhaust ducts should follow the principle of 'short and straight priority' to reduce bends and lower air resistance. If multiple toilets are installed side by side, a centralized exhaust main duct can be used for connection, with a flow control valve installed on each branch duct. For example, a centrifugal fan can be installed at the end of the main duct, and the flow control valves can be used to regulate the air volume distribution in each branch duct, preventing inadequate ventilation in some toilets due to differences in duct length. Additionally, the duct material should be corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, such as PVC or stainless steel, to extend service life and reduce maintenance costs.

Protective design needs to adapt to environmental conditions. In rainy areas such as Xinxiang, the exhaust fans should have rainproof functions, and it is recommended to choose equipment with a protective rating of IP54 or higher. IP54 indicates that the equipment can prevent the intrusion of water splashed from all directions and solid foreign objects with a diameter greater than 1 millimeter, effectively coping with the humid environment during the rainy season. If the equipment is leased, the protective rating requirements should be clearly specified in the contract to avoid water damage due to equipment aging.

The filtration system can improve air quality. Installing activated carbon filter cotton or photocatalyst filter screens in front of the exhaust fans can adsorb odor molecules and harmful gases. In summer, when there are many mosquitoes in Xinxiang, mosquito nets should also be installed at the air inlets to prevent mosquitoes from entering the ducts and breeding bacteria. The filter materials need to be replaced or cleaned regularly. For example, the activated carbon filter cotton should be replaced every 3 months, and the mosquito nets should be cleaned every week to maintain the filtration effect.
