Mobile Toilet Engineering and Manufacturing

Admin September 23, 2026

Mobile toilet engineering and manufacturing involve multiple aspects such as manufacturing entities, material structures, manufacturing processes, and design principles.

From the perspective of manufacturing entities, there are professional companies dedicated to the field of mobile toilet manufacturing. For example, Shanghai Guyi Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. started as a small booth subcontracting factory in 2002 and now has the capability to comprehensively customize various types of mobile toilets and restrooms for clients. It can provide clients with a complete range of services from on-site measurement, scheme design optimization, production and processing, transportation and installation, to after-sales maintenance.

In terms of manufacturing materials and structural forms, mobile toilets have undergone continuous development and evolution. Initially, mobile toilets were made of materials such as wood, with relatively simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene were gradually adopted. Based on structural forms, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets; according to mobility methods, there are hoisting and handling-type mobile toilets, powered and towed-type mobile toilets; and based on sewage treatment methods, they can be further classified into flush and non-flush suction-type mobile toilets, circulating flush-type mobile toilets, and dry-packing-type mobile toilets.

Regarding the manufacturing process, taking the example of an individual using a water storage tank and a pallet to make a movable restroom, it is necessary to first fix universal wheels at the four corners of the pallet bottom, place the recycled water storage tank on the pallet, use an angle grinder to cut and form an opening tank body, then stack and fix two tank bodies and cut out a doorway. Next, perform operations such as water pipe connection, toilet installation, faucet fixation, and sink making inside the water storage tank, and finally install the toilet seat, showerhead, and the door and door handle of the restroom.

The design of mobile toilets also has corresponding principles and requirements. Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobility device. The design should adhere to the principles of mobility and convenience, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness; and enhancing efficiency and promoting humanity. The overall structure should be lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible, while being sturdy. The height and width of the toilet should be reasonably controlled, and the mobility device should be complete and reasonable.
